Bendtner was not working hard enough when he didn’t have the ball, something that Ade does have. Nik will have to add this to his game if he is to get to the level that the manager wants him to
So its goodbye to the Carling cup kids for another year, pretty sad this time round. I felt a lot of pride whenever i watched them strut there stuff. We have to be proud of them, support them as players and not be too hard on them.
They had enough chances to have won the game twice over but sometimes this happens. Clearly our finishing was a problem. Bendtner being out of sorts did not help. He appears to be the new and fashionable scapegoat goat amongst the Gooner faithful. Remember it wasn’t long ago when we were hearing cries around blogs that Adebayor has to be left out for the Dane who was said to be the far superior player.
Bendtner is clearly suffering from lack of form and is still only twenty years old. Now, if you are talking attitude then that is a different story altogether.
Arsene Wenger appeared pretty unhappy in his post match interview which I found interesting. I thought he may take the arm around the shoulder of his players approach. He did sound a little peeved about the finishing from his players.
“We played quite well. We had six one-on-ones with the keeper and we lost 2-0, that sums it up quite well. They had the fraction of focus and superiority in front goal that we lacked tonight and that made a difference. But overall we lost a game we shouldn’t have lost.”

Credit must go to Burnley for playing the game the right way, and making it an enjoyable spectacle. I hope they go onto winning this cup and they could teach a few Premier League sides actually how to play football.
I read the Cesc to Milan crap just now and burst in laughter. What a load of rubbish. He has just been appointed the new captain of Arsenal football club, AC Milan are no longer the force they were a few years ago. I just want to say now.
Cesc to Milan is a load of nonsense
There are enough sensible Gooners out there to know that anyway.
I ended up putting up Squid Boy’s Match Report on quite late, so click on the link to read.
Hopefully the squad can put this disappointment behind them and build on the Chelsea result. Once again congratulations to the kids on showing the talent that they possess and they have proved Arsene to be right in the direction he is taking the club.
Back tomorrow, hopefully at normal time.
