I was unsure about how we would line up but the manager has given it away by declaring that Ebcheerue will play at right back in place of the rested Sagna
So Arsene has chosen rest and freshness over possible knocking of confidence. It is a tricky one to decide I suppose but when you look at our injury record in the last few years you would have to say that it is the correct choice. Many first teamers will have their feet up swigging on a glass of beerwater whilst watching Arsenal’s last match in Group G
It is a good chance to see some first teamers mixed in with our best youngsters. It could be a game that will suit the youngsters as it is more likely to be a football match instead of a brutal kick boxing match. Not that Burnley were attempting any round houses.

I would like to see Jack Wilshere given a start but I still think he is a year away from making first team starts away from the Carling cup, even if we have already qualified. Perhaps if we were currently 4 points ahead of Porto then it may have happened but it is not the case. Arsene appears to have a different view on Aaron Ramsey, maybe Arsene thinks that he is physically stronger than Wilshere and can handle himself better at this stage.
Johan Djourou should once again partner Gallas who returns from injury, and the Swiss has some positive comments about his Ivorian team mate.
“The players are all supportive of Emmanuel because he is a great guy,” said Djourou at his pre-match press conference. “We all love him and he is a strong character as well so he will bounce back straight away. It was a hard moment for us because we weren’t expecting it but we are around him and very supportive to him.”
“You expect your own fans to back your players on the pitch – especially you don’t want anyone on the pitch to be criticised.
“We were a bit surprised but at the end they have the right to say what they think and what they view and we have to respect that. But at the same time we were a bit disappointed because we didn’t expect that.”
Mean Lean’s predicted line up’s
Arsene could play more defensively with Carlos Vela taking on Van Persie’s uncomfortable left side position, Vela is more natural in that position as he has had a whole season in Spain raiding up and down on the wing.

I am hoping that Wenger will be brave enough to partner Vela and Bendtner together and take the game to Porto, we could revert back to 4-5-1 when we are defending.

Mean Lean’s prediction
Porto 2 Arsenal 0
Diaby, Gallas, Silvestre, Vela and Bendtner are all coming into the side and it could cause us to be a little disjointed. This side will have to start well because our bench will be very young. I fear that this Porto side could prove to be a little too strong at home for us.
What is a blog without some made up by bored hacks quality transfer rumours.
The William Gallas out of Arsenal rumour seems to be taking different turns on almost a daily basis. It appears that Juventus are favourites to take Capi on board.
Oh and guess what? Cesc Fabregas is back off to Spain. Yawn!!! Cesc said that he could go back to Spain one day and it is now a super major story. If these are new quotes then you have to ask Cesc why he is not ignoring these questions because we only end up back here again. Anyway, just thought I had to mention it.
Right, my lunch is getting cold, so pee off! *jokey winky smiley thingy*
