Another day and not much going on to be honest with you.

We are looking ahead to the match on Saturday which I am likely to miss which I feel kinda uneasy about but hey.

Mikel Silvestre has been speaking about our chances for the title;

When they are one of the main reasons for the problems, Silvestre pretty much sums Arsenal up this season, started well, looked like he would progress then had very shaky moments. I suppose he would sum up Arsenal because many players have been doing that this year and that is the reason for the collective inconsistency so far.

According to theThe Times we will not watching that unit for very long as Juventus have apparently flown in to tie up the Gallas signature as former Chelsea manager Raneri wants to take him on once again.

If Arsene is to let Gallas go in January then he cannot really afford to make a mistake in the transfer market with a replacement. It would be a good chance to find a leader for this young team who are very short in that department. Someone who is a natural body on the line defender. No more converted midfielders.

The January window is always a strange time to buy players. especially if you want them to make an impact in that same very season. We know that Wenger usually goes abroad for players and not all of them can adjust like Bacary Sagna or to a slightly lesser extent Sami Nasri. We might have another Eduardo on our hands which will take months to adjust, even more so given the fact that they do not have the pre season to gel.

Back to the game on the weekend, we have some good news. Some of our injured players will be fit enough to take part which given the performance on Wednesday it will be a massive boost.

Speaking of injured players, theDaily Mail have suggested that Tomas Rosicky will be travelling to Germany to save his career. I am sure the save the career part was made up. I think it could well be time to replace Rosicky in the squad. I do not mean ship him out of the club but we have to realise that he may not ever get back to the standard that he was once at.

Arsene has been speaking about the return to Dudu the destroyer.

“Of course the problem for Eduardo is that, even though he is playing a game, we still must get him back to a competitive level. Basically we don’t know how much patience he will need but if patience is needed we have to take it.

“I still believe that we have to give him at least one and a half months competition before he will be completely back at the level he was before.

“But he has a fantastic basis of fitness because he has worked unbelievably hard. I mean unbelievably hard. So he could still surprise us by being a little bit quicker.”

We really do have to be patient with Eduardo. Eboue has already showed how hard it can be to come back into a Prem game after so long out. Eduardo has obviously been out much longer with a much worse injury. I remember Eduardo looking half the player he turned out to be at the early stages of his Arsenal career and we could well witness that Eduardo for a while. I am looking forward to that reserve game on the 16th.
