Carlos Tevez has said that Henry tried to persuade him to join Arsenal when Henry was an Arsenal player.
“On one occasion, when West Ham were playing Arsenal, I bumped into Thierry,” said Tevez.
“We greeted one another and he asked me ‘What are you doing playing for this lot? Why don’t you come and join Arsenal – it’s unbelievable you’re not playing for a club like ours’.”
Tevez probably growled and barked at Henry after that.
Former Gooner Martin Keown has been praising Cesc Fabulous
“Cesc is the orchestrator of everything. He’s developed into an outstanding player and looks like a natural winner,” said Keown.
“The goals he has been scoring this season are the icing on the cake. He was fairly prolific as a kid and it was a mystery last season why he struggled to find the back of the net.
It only seemed like yesterday that we had Martin Keown at the heart of our back four, doesn’t time just fly by. He was part of the coaching staff during our champions league run when we got to the final. His arm drop on Van Nistelrooy will always live long in the memory.
Sevilla vs Arsenal
Tonight will be our most difficult match of the Champions League so far, Sevilla who have been inconsistent so far this season have alot of talented players but so do we, even if we will have a weaker team.
I am looking forward to watching Nikalas Bendtner. He started against Slavia Prague away but he didn’t get any service so was pretty much out of the game. If we can get Cesc and perhaps Rosicky around him then hopefully we can see the very best of the Dane.
Trying to guess what the line up will be is very difficult as it is not just based on form and ability. Arsene will be trying to create a blend of fringe, attacking and defensive players. He will not want to lose the game as he knows it could create mental problems for the players but he does not want to have anymore injuries for the Aston Villa match.
A few questions that Arsene will answer at about 7.30pm will be if Cesc Fabregas will start the game, will Diarra play another game after playing for France and then against Wigan at home. I also want to know if he will be cagey and play 4-5-1 or will he be brave enough to play Eduardo alongside Bendtner and not wide left.
I will be pleased with a draw whatever the line up is, we will need to step up our recent levels for us to get anything from the game.
