Arshavin could bring back last seasons fluidity / Eboue / Adebayor

That was the Arsenal we know and love. I think back to that match at Villa park last season when we played some absolutely sensational stuff, seriously breathtaking. Most of this squad is still here so there is no reason why they are not capable of doing that again

Good afternoon all,

Not much going on at the moment, each day seems to be a follow on from yesterday which when I write this makes more sense than I first thought. We haven’t had many interviews from our squad, no quotes from the manager which has left us with very little.

I am looking forward to the Bolton match though although it may be a little early to go into detail about just yet. But I would like to say that although we have drawn games we should have recently, the side are still unbeaten domestically since Cesc was named skipper, which is pretty good going. I suppose that is where the extra 2% comes into play.

We need to start games the way we played when went 2-0 against Villa (minus the switching off at the back of course)

That was the Arsenal we know and love. I think back to that match at Villa park last season when we played some absolutely sensational stuff, seriously breathtaking. Most of this squad is still here so there is no reason why they are not capable of doing that again.

We haven’t had two creative wide players since Rosicky and Hleb started together *contemplates finding the information but decides he cannot be arsed* on the same field. Arshavin could bring that back again but we shall see what happens there.

I am all a little confused as are most of us about this rumour/story/fact/fiction (delete where appropriate). There have been many quotes from player, club and agent and it is not always easy to know whether these quotes are current, old or jumbled together.

We have heard that we are just trying to agree a few with his club, then we hear that his wages have been a stumbling block. The latest and most promising story is that we are sorting how the payment is received from Zenit, initt… sorry, ahem.

There has been rumours of Inter Milan being interested in signing Emmanuel Eboue. Eboue has been pretty open about it.

“I have been the victim of many injuries and that is why I have not been consistent enough.

“I am happy at Arsenal. Inter are a great club as well but I don’t know what will happen. Let’s wait and see.”

I wouldn’t and couldn’t blame him if he wanted to go. The booing wouldn’t have helped but when everyone in his position is fit then he sits on the bench.

The last thing we need right now is a smaller squad. So, as the mad tiger outfit man would say.. lets wait and see.

Emmanuel Adebayor has come out (a little late) and has backed the comments made by William Gallas.

‘There is some truth in what he said,’ said the Togo striker.

‘Someone had to say these things, to make each person face up to their responsibilities. If he had said nothing, where would we be today?

‘Gallas has always been like that – he has experience, he has won titles, played in a World Cup final.

‘He doesn’t throw these thoughts around lightly. He said something because it was necessary to do it.

‘He is indispensable to the team. He is Arsenal’s rock – his behaviour since the armband was taken off him proves that.’

We cannot doubt that much of what was said by Gallas was true but there is also a way to say certain things. I cannot help thinking that a team meeting with these words being said would have been a much better choice. Oh knows these things may have already been done in private.

Enjoy your day, back again tomorrow.
