More twists, turns and lies. Gazidis reveals correct decision

Infact I must admit I feel much better after reading the John Terry hits out at Abramovich over the Manchester City bid stories in the tabloids

So what of today? Lets start with the usual rubbish in the tabloids, easier to just get it over and done with I say.

Wenger Robbed Of £60m – The Mirror

Get Me Fab And Masch – The Mirror

Wenger hit by low cash blow – The Sun

*Yawn, rolls eyes, shakes head*

Those headlines (incase you are not aware) are due to the board rejecting Usmanov’s offer

Gazidis said:

the Board decided not to issue permanent capital in the hopes of signing one or two players in an inflated transfer market. Instead, the focus continues to be on securing the services of talented young players we have on long-term contracts and making very selective acquisitions, only where a new signing will add real value to our already strong squad.

That all sounds pretty fair enough to me and probably to most who are thinking of the long term of the club but I get it, that wouldn’t sell newspapers.

There will be many Arsenal fans who will throw their toys as far out of the pram as they can manage

Infact I must admit I feel much better after reading the John Terry hits out at Abramovich over the Manchester City bid stories in the tabloids, you do not get to read that type of content often regarding one of the other big four clubs, or do I say three because I am not talking about us, perhaps its just better to say one of the other English clubs, or is it the same for any other big clubs in Europe, perhaps the world…. ok sorry, I shall stop waffling.

Newcastle defender Bassong claims that Arsenal have been interested in his services but I cannot see that one happening unless two defenders leave. I take it that we have a look at a number of players before we make our choice. Perhaps our interest has disappeared after signing Thomas Vermaelen.

Senderos and Silvestre do not have a secure future now so we shall wait and see what happens there.

The Tomas Rosicky quotes that are circulating seem like old quotes to me, so not sure why they are being reused again. I suppose that just tells you how much news is going around right now relating to our club.

Gonna cut this short today as I am late for work but back tomorrow.
