I am getting rather fed up about all the speculation about our players as I am sure a lot of you guys are also. Every season this happens to us and yes it is a compliment to Arsene’s hard work but it does get rather tiresome
Good game last night wasn’t it? Before the game I thought that Portugal would win as they have a lot going forward but the Germans were once again impressive when it matters. A solid base with hard work beats flair once again. Not that the Germans were not good going forward because they were but when you get the best possession, flair teams against the best compact, hard working sides it is usually the latter that win the day in knock out football.
Adebayor has not done very well at putting off the speculation from Barca.
“Now I do not want to comment on anything relating to FC Barcelona, perhaps later it may be necessary but not now,” Adebayor told Sport. “It is better to wait.”
Cheers Ade, that is very nice of you.
I am getting rather fed up about all the speculation about our players as I am sure a lot of you guys are also. Every season this happens to us and yes it is a compliment to Arsene’s hard work but it does get rather tiresome. It is almost like spending everyday planting special seeds that you have found in locations that others do not know. Then one day you go to your garden to find someone has pulled out your fully formed plant and in its place you have money lying in its place, just a little more than the amount you spent on seeds in the first place.
Flamini has gone, Hleb’s head has been turned, Milan and Barca are pulling out all the stops to bring Adebayor to their clubs with all the promises in the world. According to the Sun newspaper, AS Roma want to bring Gael Clichy to Italy. I have two works for them, it starts with F and ends with F.
Clichy is one of those players who would prove incredibly hard to replace. The guy practically plays in two positions at once for us. If this story is just tabloids imagination then I would advise them to work a little harder in choosing a destination for our players. What player in their right mind would choose to leave us for Roma?
Oh wait, I have just read that Juventus are also in the hunt for our player.
Spalletti, the Roma manager said
“Clichy is an excellent defender of international class,”
“He is also still very young, so has plenty of football improvement left in him.
“Certainly, it would please me a great deal to see Gael Clichy in a Roma shirt.
“We will have to wait and see what develops.”
I read the ‘Arsenal’s £13m swoop for Nasri’ in the same newspaper and had a little chuckle to myself. How can this story still be the same after all these weeks later, it is getting a little ridiculous now. The sooner the deal is done and on Arsenal.com the better for everyone as we can finally move on with own lives.
Away from on pitch matters, it appears that silent Stan Kroenke will be given a place on the Arsenal board. All the details can be found in the Independent
Peter Hill-Wood has sure made a turn around from his first public opinion of the American. It is clear that the board are against Usmanov and that has pulled the Kronk and board together.
I am off to get some food now, hopefully we can hear something positive from the club in the next few days.
Have a good day. Drop your view in the comments.
Until tomorrow.
