He is after all a Manchester City player, what on earth is he supposed to say? No, Arsenal are much bigger and better. That would be a wonderful message to send to his supporters. Even if he does believe that, does anyone really care? I couldn’t actually care much less what Emmanuel Adebayor has to say about Arsenal. When he was at Arsenal I enjoyed his highs and was disappointed with his lows
Afternoon Visioners,
I have sat down to write something today as I usually do, more often than not anyway. I usually browse around the news of today or perhaps even late last night, then I give my take on those stories. Simple enough really isn’t it?
Then you have international weeks, where news is limited so I pick a topic and try and share my views on less topics but perhaps a little more in depth.
And then you have days like today. Tiny scraps of erm ‘news’ and my mind is not allowing me to delve into anything else for one reason or another, so what to do?
Do I switch the computer off and go and fix myself up a tasty lunch or do I waffle through an article and produce something less than I am happy with? As you may be able to guess, I have gone with the latter.
My issue is that the two half topics to discuss are about Emmanuel Adebayor and Cesc Fabregas’ supposed comments. Yawn… *pause* yawn some more.
I will give it my best shot to try and stay awake whilst writing. Emmanuel Adebayor was asked if Manchester City felt bigger than Arsenal, his response was..
“Yeah it does feel like that… With the great new players we’ve got we have a wonderful chance to make history.
“But it’s all about results. If we can win ten games in a row, people will class Manchester City as bigger than Arsenal.”
I think a bit of perspective may be needed here. When he was at Arsenal I enjoyed his highs and was disappointed with his lows. That chapter has ended, the book has shut. The end.
The Cesc story actually makes me fall asleep even quicker. The only reason why I even partly entertain the whole thing is because Cesc is contracted to Arsenal.
The whole Cesc, Barca, Arsenal, summer thing is pretty transparent. We all know that Barcelona wanted Cesc, we know that Cesc was ready to throw in the towel and run home but he was halted because Barca couldn’t add any notes to the change they pulled out of their pockets. The rest isn’t worth talking about.
The Daily mail are a bunch of *beeeeepppppp* and I do not expect any real informative ‘news’ from them. I don’t care what Cesc has said as long as he produces his best on the pitch. If Barcelona come back next season with a handful of coppers from their shrunk pockets then it will be the same result. If they can afford Cesc then I am sure we will let him go. The end.
Anyway, some proper actual real news. Emmanuel Eboue scored for the Ivory Coast in a 3-0 victory against Rwanda. Apparently it was a 25 yard strike. Well done Manu! I am loving his cult status amongst Gooners. If you haven’t already seen it yet then he has some very funny Eboue facts on twitter. Taken from the whole Chuck Norris thing, very funny. Click here
And that is about that, until of course I submit this article.
Back tomorrow.
