Adebayor on way to the City? / Chamakh / Hartson

For a striker who many say cannot finish you have to take a look at his 62 goals in 142 games and admire a strike rate of just over a goal in every two games

Good afternoon to you all,

I would say I feel fresh and revitilised after the weekend but that would be a complete lie. When most of the people in your house are ill in bed and you have to play the role of doctor, chef, house maid and many other titles it doesn’t make the mind feel very sharp, I would go as far as to say that I would rather be the one in bed with the flu, not of the swine variety you understand.

I suppose the only place to start is with is the rumour that Emmanuel Adebayor is allegedly in talks with Manchester City, it is another Sky Sports ‘understands’ so nothing is concrete. Personally I would like him to stay and get back to the form of two years ago but we will have to wait and see what happens.

If He was to leave the club then Manchester City would be a club who would be capable of paying us a decent fee. For a striker who many say cannot finish you have to take a look at his 62 goals in 142 games and admire a strike rate of just over a goal in every two games.

I was writing a defence of Adebayor article a few days ago which I haven’t had the time to finish, hopefully I can still put it up.

If we are to believe what we read then Adebayor would put the door on the latch on his way out so Marouane Chamakh can walk in. Far too much information for me right now to be honest.

I heard the news on John Hartson and my heart goes out to his family, and fingers crossed that he can make a full recovery. Many post Wenger fans will not have seen his commitment and work rate whenever he wore the Arsenal shirt. One turn and volley over the goalkeepers head against Manchester City at Highbury sticks out.

The Blaise Matuidi rumour continues to circulate and doesn’t want to die down. It does strike me as a typical Arsene Wenger signing. We are approaching the time when players should be hopping around and signing for new clubs.

Interestingly enough, Manchester United will not be one of those clubs who will be having anymore players walking into the club. After selling Ronaldo for a whopping £80 million pounds, they have brought in Michael Owen on a free, Antonio Valencia for £16 million and Gabriel Obertan for £3 million. Where is the usual £30 million signing that they bring in every year? Especially after selling their match winner? Interesting. Times a little hard Manchester United?

It makes a pleasant change to hear disruption from the Chelsea camp, especially from the captain. John Terry wants to hear what Manchester City have to say, I suppose the 130k that he is on is soooo 2008.

Chelsea haven’t won the league since outing Jose Mourinho, that was a terrible move by the club.

This will be a very, very big season for Chelsea

It’s a decisive season. I agree. If Chelsea win nothing, Lampard and Essien will leave.

The Barnet game is coming into view, how exciting is that? I’ll tell you, it is very exciting. We may not have all the lads on show but we will be able to see many of our talented stars back on the pitch doing what they do best.
