Leeds Utd (h) – King Henry Finds Familiar Spot / Composure / Regaining Form

Henry's spinning run away from his marker and Song's pass were almost made at the exact moment. Henry took a touch and as if I was watching the Arsenal Matrix film, everything slowed down, he was in a position that we have seen on so many wonderful occasions in the past. Think Roma away, think Leeds United in their last game at Highbury, think countless other times. The moment his skidding

Leeds United (h) Thoughts & Line Up: Team Balance, Formation & Henry

Arsene has already confirmed that Henry will have some part to play in the game and for those who know Arsene's substitutions well over the years, I would guess that a 10-15 minute cameo at the end of the game would be a good bet. Those who are being handsomely paid for writing about the match

Dennis Henry / Park / Suarez Scouted

So called King Kenny needs to take some responsibility for his players irresponsible behaviour before a recent game by wearing these stupid t-shirts. Suarez was not accused of a late tackle, he was accused of racism and surely any personal backing could be done in the dressing room. Anyway, this is a subject probably best kept away from an Arsenal blog as luckily we do not have to deal with all this controversy.  Thierry Henry is all over dot com and as you would expect he has said all the things that we fully expect of an Arsenal legend. He expects to have a bit part role

Wenger Hinting At No Transfers?, Natural Youth vs Unnatural Experience & Henry’s Back

Arsene has said that Robin van Persie will be given a rest and obviously that is correct. But if that is ok for Robin then I think Mikel Arteta and at least one of Mertesacker or Koscielny need the same. With the likes of Bacary Sagna and Jack the boy Wilshere on the way to full recovery, I kind of would like to see them play alongside other first team players and not a treatment table rotation policy

Sagna’s New Partnership, Walcott Consistency & Coquelin Deserves More

Manchester United won the league last season due to their spirit and experience but Rooney and Nani apart, they lack real quality. Chelsea are currently going through a transition period and we know first hand how tough it is to get through to the other side and still remain strong

Fulham (a) – Profligate Attack, Fatigue & Refereeing Shambles

Gervinho is a player who I like a lot, he doesn't hide and he always puts us on the front foot. Quick, nibble and athletic but his lack of belief and conviction in the final third is hurting us. There never seems to be certainty in his final ball and especially his finishing. He finds himself in great positions in almost every game but his conversion rate is poor if he alone

Fulham (a) Thoughts & Line Up: Can Wide Forwards Revitalise Chamakh?

Marouane Chamakh could start the game and if he has Gervinho and Walcott either side of him then I have a hunch that he will score at least once and play well. I was rather bullish about this on twitter and I am sure that I will get laughed at if proven otherwise but Chamakh has yet to have his chance alongside our two wide forwards who have contributed so much

Your Vision – Van Persie: A Team’s Work In Progress

We can talk about van Persie’s numbers all day, but the fact remains that we can view him as being a quality player since 2008, with last season being his career best from a goal scoring perspective. Already, just four months into this season he

QPR (h) – van Persie Strikes Arsenal Into Fourth For 2012

I love his now trademark jinking runs from the right side of the box, it fools defenders almost every single time. Cutting onto his left foot fainting the shot then checking onto his right. It was this move that created our first chance of the game.

QPR (h) Match Thoughts: Ramsey, Arshavin & van Persie Could Start

Surprisingly Arsene said that van Persie would start the game. That is surprising for a couple of reasons. Firstly because van Persie has not been at his sharpest for five games. I would say Wigan away on the 3rd December was his last top display since then his touch has deserted him and his influence has diminished. He has probably never played this frequently since his professional career started and it looks like he needs a rest but is he not resting because of Alan Shearer's record? That would seem highly unlikely but surely QPR at
