Your Vision – Ode to Arsene

Arsene Wenger in my opinion has not only changed the way Arsenal play but has changed the face of English football. When Arsene arrived from Japan, not a single person came out in the press to sing his praises, there wasn't even anyone to slag him off and tell us how he's nowhere near the man we needed for the job

Is Arsene protecting Cesc from kickers? & My Robin pain

Arsene has said that Koscielny is out with a back problem and Thomas Vermaelen is ten days or so away which should mean that Johan Djourou who classed himself as 100% fit should come in and partner the Squiller. Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner are back in the squad which is great

Real football back, Injuries clearing up & Lukaku

It certainly feels like a case of good and bad news today. Let us start with the bad news. I played football yesterday evening and was kept in the pocket of this kid who was far younger than myself. Twice as fast and very good on the ball. I felt like a pub player being […]

Do Gunners lack decisive dribbler? & Premature title race talk

I could understand the interest. In some ways I think a player like Denilson would be a more important target than our captain Cesc Fabregas. Denilson may not have the DNA but his reading of the game, ability to keep possession and keep the ball moving along with his intercepting skills just points to a the perfect Barcelona target. If there is an interest then I wouldn't be surprised if he made a name for himself when he came off the bench at the Emirates

Sagna accepts we’ve come to see Eboue, Nasri wants role & Laughable hypocrisy

what do you make of the tackling debate? Interesting isn't it? I have never even heard anything about it until De Jong's tackle and Danny Murphy's comments. This is the first time it has ever been brought to our attention. Or so it seems, so we are made to believe. I dunno, I get the sense of deja vu when speaking of the recklessness in the game but not one person has linked it with Arsene Wenger's RECENT comments. Journalists and pundits are usually so good at knitting themes together but they have missed this one, why the hell is that?

A bit of both is good for Jack but not all & Mannone frustration

Throwing Wilshere into the first team as a starter for the seniors is not something that I think should be rushed at the momenet, having said that bringing Wilshere off the bench to replace someone like Gerrard when the game is safe would be a good thing for Jack so I can understand the clamour to have Wilshere in both squads

Ramsey & Wilshere will dominate league in a few years

Ramsey was taking huge strides last season and was visibly growing week by week, it will undoubtedly take Ramsey a little while before he is back to his best physically, mentally and sharpness err ally. When he does get to that level then it will be interesting to see which positions Ramsey and Wilshere end up on the pecking order ladder

Outside influences to force others to listen to Wenger?

With three leg breaks already having happened thus far, three that are not actually Arsenal players, you would have thought that some action would have taken place. As the media clearly control plenty of what the Football Association do, I will hope that more outside influences such as the action taken by the Dutch coach can force the FA to do their jobs correctly

Chelsea (a) Post Match Thoughts: Profligate Guns bitten by Drog again

I spoke about the need for Arsenal to be efficient on the day, we needed to take the chances that came to us because we would not be given a great deal. We should have scored in the very first minute of the game when Sagna whipped in a cross from the right and Chamakh got ahead of Alex at the front post, his diving header flicked off the defender and away for a corner

Your Vision – Another London derby, hope and disappointment in unequal measure

We had the personnel, the skill and tactics to cope with Chelsea, we did it for most of the game, the only time we didn’t, made the difference. The other commonalities were present, important players missing, dodgy refereeing decisions
