Sunderland (a) Thoughts & Predicted Line Up: Giroud & Ramsey Return + Black Cats Don’t Fool Me

An Arsenal side full of freshness, confidence and full fitness can overcome that from the likes of Sunderland with a few quick passing combinations and movement from our front players which is why we beat these type of teams more often than not but when our football drops a little, it proves to be a little more difficult. I have a slight fear that without Santi and Xhaka on top of a few tired legs

Does Middlesbrough draw signal pre-winter crash for Arsenal?

You would think that coming off the back of 6 consecutive wins would be exactly the sort of motivation a team would need for their next home match. Unfortunately for Arsenal this past weekend saw the gunners disappointingly dropped 2 points against visiting side Middleborough. Since the end of August they’ve managed a brief unbeaten […]

Arsene Wenger Believes Alex Iwobi’s Nervousness Prevents Him from Scoring

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has thrown down the gauntlet for Alex Iwobi to find the lost piece of his game by upgrading his scoring tactics, especially because he has developed nervousness within the 18-yard box. The Nigerian international played in the No. 10 role on Tuesday night in their 2-nil win against Reading in […]

AV Post Match Podcast – EP104: Middlesbrough (h) – Santi The Block In Jenga

In today's Arsenal Vision Post Match Podcast: Elliot (@YankeeGunner) and Paul (@PoznanInMyPants)  laugh at Jose Mourinho's fall from grace, Santi Cazorla's importance, all that and plenty more in this weeks Arsenal Vision podcast

Reading (h) Thoughts & Predicted Line Up: Will Arsene Change Approach With Giroud Return?

Giroud's return is rather interesting though. Our move away from the target man, instead opting for a mobile front line has brought us obvious rewards so far this season, so it may have been an ideal opportunity to give Lucas Perez a chance to lead the line once more, perhaps a chance to see how the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and perhaps the Jeff can replicate our first choice trio up front, but I don't see Giroud being left on the bench when he clearly needs minutes so we may well look a little different in our approach this evening

Middlesbrough (h) – Flat Gunners Fraction Out From Victory But Escape Defeat

We lacked Santi Cazorla's creative passing from deep without question but I'm not entirely sure that was the main reason for our flat performance. I thought we got the ball into our front players in decent positions many times over the course of the 90 minutes, the problem was that our attacking players were just off the pace on the day. Alex Iwobi was pretty decent in the first half, probing and finding spaces in the pockets between midfield and defence as he does so well, but his teammates were off their game. Mesut Ozil who had struck a hat-trick a few days earlier was not at his best and neither was our main scoring outlet from the right Theo Walcott

AV Post Match Podcast – EP103: Ludogorets (h) – Five Brazilian Ringers and a Dodgy Keeper

In today's Arsenal Vision Post Match Podcast: Elliot (@YankeeGunner), Tim (@Stillberto) and Paul (@PoznanInMyPants) talk about the 6-0 thrashing of Ludogorets. Talking points include the excellent Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil’s taste for scoring goals, Coquelin’s impact on our team and plenty more in this weeks Arsenal Vision podcast

Middlesbrough (h) Thoughts & Predicted Line Up: A Chance To Taste Top Spot

Santi Cazorla is having a fitness test after having to come off on Wednesday following a kick to his achilles. If Santi doesn’t make it and I think it would be a good idea to give him the afternoon off even if he is medically fit enough to play, then that position will be given to Mohamed Elneny who has had to be very patient so far this season. That’s how quickly football changes I suppose. When Elneny had adjusted to life at Arsenal he was first choice, even playing in the defensive midfield position ahead of Francis Coquelin, a few months later and he has found himself behind Cazorla, Coquelin, Xhaka and probably Aaron Ramsey when fit
