Manchester United (a) Post Match Thoughts: Arsenal 1 Arsenal 2, Gunners defeat themselves but positives are promising
The game was scrappy at times, both sets of players not having enough time on the ball. Denilson and Diaby continuously showing positives and negatives in the space of seconds
Man for man I feel that we are stronger than them over the pitch, we surely will overrun them but what we will have to be careful of is their wide players
I like Bendtner. He has been hugely criticised by many of our own fans as well as everyone else's, but I think this will be the season when he shows that he is good enough. His touch is excellent and he holds up the ball well
I know that I’m ranting, in fact, I’m frothing at the mouth with rage. So please forgive me. But, there is a purpose for me putting this rant into writing. I’m calling for all Arsenal fans on all forums to unite and to put aside the differences that we’ve had over the last few seasons
The truth of the matter was that the game was over after the 90 minutes last Tuesday. Celtic would have had to produce a performance that would have been somewhat unrealistic
I expect Nicklas Bendtner to be drafted back into the attack with Van Persie possibly sitting in the bench. I am intrigued to see if young Jack Wilshere finds a warm seat on the bench
Portsmouth are a side in disarray following a bungled takeover bid and two defeats in their opening two matches, but a powerful header from Younes Kaboul gave the visitors hope just before the break
