Interestingly, Arsene has not confirmed that Gallas will be captain at the start of next season. Surely it would not be something to consider if he was 100% happy with his current captain. He certainly wouldn't have said that about Vieira or Adams before him

I stand by that, Van Persie was wasted on the left wing and could not effect the match as he could do from a central position. It is the same with Eduardo, and Diaby.
