AV Post Match Podcast – EP89: Aston Villa (h) – Let’s All Laugh At Tottenham

In today's Arsenal Vision Post Match Podcast: Elliot (@YankeeGunner), (@PoznanInMyPants), Tim (@Stillberto) and James (@GoonerFanatic49) talk a little about Arsenal and the victory against Aston Villa but mainly just laughing at Tottenham.

Aston Villa (h) – It’s Happened Again

The Premier League climax quickly morphed into hilarity. I mean I cannot think of a word to sum it up better than that, it was just funny. Sunderland were supposed to have put any slight chance of St Totteringham's day to bed when they relegated Newcastle United in midweek, giving the Magpies nothing to play for whatsoever on the final day against Tottenham. I mean even if they had to scrap for a win to survive the drop, it was unlikely against the much lauded Spurs press. This super team that have given the Premier League a breath of fresh air and all that jazz.

Aston Villa (h) Confirmed Line Up: Arteta Makes Bench But Rosicky & Flamini Miss Out

Interestingly though Arsene has made some changes to the starting 11 with Santi Cazorla coming back into the team and almost equally as surprising Arsene has selected Francis Coquelin who has been out of favour for the last few weeks. Jack Wilshere comes back into the team at the expense of Alex Iwobi but I had a feeling that would happen so we should see him starting from the flank.

Keep that door shut

I got to the Walking dead pretty late, which I must say is a good thing. It means I have been lucky enough to have every episode at my disposal. But that can be kinda unhealthy in itself. Watching too much of one thing can often lead to that programme sticking in your head. I […]

Aston Villa (h) Thoughts & Predicted Line Up: Secure CL Football And Wave Goodbye

Finishing above Tottenham would be a bonus so we have to turn our attentions on saying goodbye to some 'propa' professionals. Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky and Mathieu Flamini will almost certainly be heading out the door this summer so this will be our chance to wave goodbye. That said Arsene did say that Flamini has hurt his foot or something. Is it me or am I the only one who gets suspicious whenever we hear one of these injuries stories? I mean Arsène can't exactly say "We can't include them all in the squad so I am leaving out Flamini so I can include Rosicky and Arteta"

AV Post Match Podcast – EP88: Manchester City (a) – Frankenstein’s Monster

In today's Arsenal Vision Post Match Podcast: Elliot (@YankeeGunner), (@PoznanInMyPants) and Tim (@Stillberto) talk about the crazy goings on at Manchester City on the weekend. Team selection, defending, Welbeck's injury and more in this weeks Arsenal Vision podcast

Manchester City (a) Confirmed Line Up: Ozil out but Arsene selects attacking team

Didn't see any of that coming that's for sure. Firstly Mesut Ozil is out with a hip injury which is a crying shame. Breaking the assist record will now be quite tricky for the German with only a game to play after this one. I thought Francis Coquelin would almost certainly come into the side but Arsene has gone for a rather attack heavy side today. It looks as if Alex Iwobi will replace Mesut as the playmaker with Danny Welbeck moving wide in his place.

Manchester City (a) Thoughts & Predicted Line Up: Welbeck & Coquelin should start, Ramsey could replace Iwobi

Personally I think City are there for the taking as long as we approach the game correctly. If we are smart and organised when City have the ball and play with some aggression/urgency then I think we can repeat last seasons scoreline. We have been pretty poor in our last few games but those were games where we had to take the initiative, where it was almost solely down to us to play, that shouldn't be the case today. Hopefully Yaya Toure can have another game in which he walks around the pitch dreaming of tasty cake while Aguero can slot back into Koscielny's pocket as he has done so many times in the past

AV Post Match Podcast – EP87: Norwich City (h) – Bad Or The Worst
