Manchester United (h) Tweeters Post Match Q&A Part 2

A forward with a big game temperament, natural width and a little bit of confidence. After the 5-1 dismantling at Liverpool on Saturday, Arsene Wenger admitted his side was focused on being solid defensively and not conceding after the manner of Arsenal's defeat to Liverpool at the weekend. This cautious approach was perfectly understandable but I feel it played right into the hands of a desperately poor United side that are short in confidence and belief. This was a perfect opportunity to turn them over and get three points against the Champions

Manchester United (h) Tweeters Post Match Q&A

The main ingredient we were missing in order to beat Utd tonight was the same as our other encounters against them...mentality. Far too often we've approached this fixture with apprehension and a lack of belief. This has also spread to games vs Chelsea and City, this worries me as they make up some of our remaining fixtures. This apparent lack of belief results in the sub par performances we saw on the pitch tonight. We also need a forward who can make runs in behind the defence, Man U had an ageing and off form CB partnership today and there was no one to put them under enough pressure. Overall there was a lack of penetration due to our movement in the final

Manchester United (h) Thoughts & Line Up: A chance to right our wrongs and go top

Fulham at Old Trafford is a fixture that would have been a guaranteed three points to the home side in the past, today it is no surprise whatsoever that the away side managed to grab a draw. But tonight's game is a different game completely. Manchester United will have no pressure to take the game to Arsenal unlike their last game. I wonder how Moyes will approach tonight's game. Liverpool proved incredibly successful taking the game to Arsenal, pressing us high up the pitch and not letting us get out of our own half. I am not sure whether Moyes will have the bravery to do that at the Emirates and instead may decide to park the bus and hit us on the break with pace and obvious quality in van Persie, Rooney and Mata. I wouldn't be surprised to see the latter.

Anichebe strike could help ‘crisis’ Arsenal go top tomorrow

Manchester United with a red and white hurricane tomorrow. I don't know how Manchester United will approach the game tomorrow, although I have an idea but I would love to see us pressure their every step. I don't know where you squeeze in Rosicky but I want to see him sprinting after a Manchester United centre back only for said centre back to boot the ball rushed straight to Arteta on the half way line, Arsenal players camped in the Manchester United half, ready to have another go at them. I love when we play on the front foot like that. I want to see Koscielny going through van Persie to win the ball, jogging back into position and not picking up the traitor. I want to see Giroud

Your Vision – Time to freshen things up

Still I will give him the benefit of the doubt, first season, has played too many games etc. so he does need a rest. And i think right now, we have an upgrade on him in our squad. And he comes in the form of one of our longest serving players of the current squad, tomas rosicky. Our little Mozart is the wrong side of 30, yes, but he plays like he has the legs of a 20 year old. Full of pace, tackling, passing and work rate that defies his age. Earlier in the season, wenger, whether knowingly or not, used him in most of the ‘big’ games. And he turned in a top drawer performance every time. He embodies what our players should be, full of running, hard work and passion. And he is one player who should be given a run of games in this *words cannot describe how important* run of fixtures

Liverpool (a) – Absent Arsenal thrashed at Anfield

While I could quite easily continue to lay into this team after today it is difficult when you consider that it is this group of players that have put us (most likely) 1 point off the top with 25 games played. They obviously have quality but questions will need to be asked from all of the players and the manager as to why they set foot on the pitch with the wrong attitude. At this point Chelsea are 2-0 up at home to Newcastle and City are still drawing 0-0 at Norwich. I fully expect both teams to win so it is down to us to put this game behind us and come back on Wednesday at home against the Champions with a completely different performance

Liverpool (a) Tweeters Post Match Q&A

Gibbs in for Monreal, Chamberlain moved centrally with Arteta and I'd use Gnabry wide right with Cazorla wide left, Özil at 10 and Giroud up top, Jack seems to lack the positional awareness in defensive areas when playing as the no8 in our system, Ramsey is far more positionally aware and responsible when he plays there, I appreciate Jack tried to take the game to Liverpool but he really needs others further ahead of him to take that responsibility and he

Liverpool (a) Confirmed Line Up – Podolski dropped, Jack’s Back & More

Santi Cazorla will more than likely resume his position coming in on the right of the Arsenal attack. Clearly Arsène has issue with the German's capability to track back and help out defensively. The good news Poldi fans is that we have a sledgehammer of a substitute up our sleeves should we require it. Hopefully not because if he doesn't come on then it means we are more than likely winning the game but it is nice to have the option there if need be potent striking weapon on the pitch. The last time he set foot on the Anfield turf he scored the opening goal of the game. I'd take a bit of that today I must say. Interested to see how he tracks back against the likes of Sterling. He will certainly need to if we are to keep Liverpool out.

Liverpool (a) Thoughts & Line Up: Arsène’s box to box decision, Wrestling back control & More

Mikel Arteta who was quite possibly the best player on the pitch at the Emirates in the game in November. Jack Wilshere trained yesterday so is available for selection. If Jack is 100% fit and firing on all those proverbial cylinders then he will more than likely start in the number 8 position. Oxlade-Chamberlain came up with the answers from that position against Crystal Palace last weekend but playing at Anfield is a different kettle of fish. I would rather he started the Ox on the right, that way he can still play with the confidence that he has surely picked up this week.

Confused thoughts on fixtures of death (Part 1)

A fully fit Arsenal squad can beat any team in Europe, that I am confident of. Which is no mean feat when you consider the quality and of course wealth out there today. I'd say our squad without our top goal scorers outside of Giroud (Walcott & Ramsey) can do the business against our Premier League
