Match Preview – Sevilla (a) – Champions League
Flamini is fit enough to be in the squad but won’t start. Gallas and Adebayor haven’t travelled for the purposes of being rested. Gilberto and Fabregas come back into the squad. Bendtner will definitely start, alongside either Walcott or Eduardo.
Wigan have lost seven games in a row, including such formidable opposition as Reading, Birmingham and Spurs. They’ve managed one point from the last nine games, and are yet to win away from home.
We’ll welcome back Toure and Rosicky for this one, as well as have Fabregas and Hleb back in the squad. Senderos is back in training, but won’t be back playing until after the international break
A point in this game sees us qualify for the knockout phases of the Champions League. We’re currently one of only two clubs, along with our fellow finalists from two years ago, to have not conceded a goal so far
Manchester United are the visitors to Ashburton Grove, as we look for our third consecutive victory against the cunts in the league, to go top by three points with a game in hand, and to maintain our 100% home start to the season in all competitions so far.
Sheffield United again. Atleast we won’t have to put up with Warnock this time, but away games up north will always be a decent test for our kids. After losing at this ground last season the players will be after revenge
Senderos is out for a couple of weeks, van Persie for a month. Other than that Wenger has a fit squad to pick from. I’d expect there to be one or two team selection alterations. With everyone fit we may as well rotate a tad, especially with a trip to Anfield at the weekend. We looked a bit toothless upfront
Gallas should come back into the starting squad alongside Toure. Flamini will probably keep his spot alongside Fabregas in the middle. I’d still much rather see Diaby starting in the middle, atleast in home games against teams that are bound to sit back
