What a complete and utter dire match. I cannot remember anything like that for a long time

So 12 straight wins, followed by 3 straight draws ey? Lets hope a defeat is a long way away because we’ll be screwed at this rate.

What a complete and utter dire match. I cannot remember anything like that for a long time. Obviously there was alot of changes made which would of course upset our rhythm but I can’t help thinking that the players were not helped by Arsene’s funky new formation with Diaby playing in a floating role behind Bendtner and Eduardo out on the left wing.

ok, first of all Arsene has been talking about Adebayor being left isolated upfront in recent games and it taking something out of our play, so why exactly do you want to do the same with Bendtner? Theo Walcott was quite awful yesterday, bless him. Nothing at all worked out for him. His inconsistency is still there for all to see, and we will see this from time to time until he matures.

In my eyes, Eduardo Da Silva is not a left winger and will never be a left winger. He looked uncomfortable out there. His greatest strengthen is finding space in the opposition penalty area and taking chances. None of this can really be achieved stuck out wide on the left wing.

Apart from our lack of creative players (Cesc, Hleb and Rosicky) those were the reasons for our dire performance.

So, lets take the positives. We needed a point to qualify and we did just that. The team worked hard and defended as a unit. I have always been a big fan of Alex Song (tongue firmly in cheek), and he had another excellent match (certainly not tongue in cheek) if I had a hat I would eat it, on second thoughts I probably wouldn’t. I would rather just say that he has proved me wrong as a player. Although I would not have him in midfield.

Our players should be fresh and ready to face a rather leaky Reading side who will probably have the best defensive display of the Premier League so far.

Arsene spoke to Sky Sports after the match.

They were solid at the back and they defended well. We had problems to create space and to be dangerous,” he told Sky Sports News.

“We tried until the end to score but did not create enough to feel tonight that we can score goals.”

Question for you.. Does Arsene now see Lassana Diarra as a right back? Will he be cover for Sagna from now on. Or does Arsene see Diarra as the long term replacement for Gilberto?

I really would like to see Diarra and Cesc start together in midfield in a first team match to see what he can bring to our side. I think he could well give us a mixture of both Gilberto and Flamini but with added pace. Nice little combination isn’t it? I do not think that we will see this unless we have injury and suspension problems in that position.

ok, I am gonna shake a leg, enjoy your day wherever you maybe.
