Can the Ramsey & Coquelin be the springboard to run in?

Aaron Ramsey continues to be the Arsene Wenger on the football pitch.
The division amongst the fans when it comes to the Welshman is there for all to see. On one side of the fence he is a player who takes too many touches, gets forward too often and does not do enough defensive work for his team but on the other side of the fan base Aaron Ramsey is central to Arsenal’s success and the team should be built around him. If only we had an easy and fast guide to get your bonus if we all stood behind the players in the squad, that way there would be no division at all.
As is often the case the truth lies somewhere in between the two extremes, his partnership with Mathieu Flamini has had many problems that the team have paid for in recent weeks, Ramsey has had an inconsistent time during that period. Scoring some crucial goals but also not looking at his best as we lost control of the midfield battle in some of those fixtures.
But fingers are being crossed that Ramsey could be on his way back up. Against AFC Bournemouth on Sunday, Aaron Ramsey was arguably the man of the match with an assist and a major contribution to the first goal. His long curling pass found the head of Giroud who knocked the ball back to Mesut Özil to fire high into the net for the opener. But it was the rest of his contribution that left Gooners happy. He fought from the first whistle to the last, winning plenty of tackles and making vital interceptions. His passing in between the lines was impressive also.
Francis Coquelin came on as a late substitute in that game and played alongside Aaron Ramsey as Mesut Özil was moved to the right flank.
The hope must be that Coquelin and Ramsey can forge an immediate partnership, If Coquelin can get sharp very quickly along with the return to Aaron Ramsey’s best form then maybe they can provide a springboard for the title run in.
There are only 13 games left of this 2015/2016 Premier League season and during those games Arsenal have to go to Tottenham, Everton, Manchester United and Manchester City. Those are not fixtures that Arsenal can stumble through and hope to accumulate enough points to finish top of the pile. We are going to have periods where we have dig in and fight our way to points, Aaron Ramsey will also need to make the difference in the final third at points in those games, so he will need a partner who is capable of keeping it tight when we have to win the ball back, something that Francis Coquelin is actually very good at.
It is going to be very interesting from now until May.
