Basically the board would have much preferred the supporters to congratulate the club on the great work they are doing in collecting cash and making us financially strong. It does feel that the club attempt to shove this in supporters faces a little too much without considering the fact that it is our financial strength that has frustrated many supporters as fans want to see
This season Liverpool FC will be where we were last season in terms of years without a trophy. Yet I can honestly say that I cannot remember one time that a pundit, newspaper, commentator or whoever dished out that stat that they love so much. We hear about the roar of the Kop, about Stevie G, King Kenny (not sure what makes him an actual King) about their wonderful history which is indeed wonderful yet here we are today in 2011 and not a jot is said. Liverpool FC have NEVER won
I would love to see the stats on points and league position based on the amount of changes made to a team over the course of the season. I doubt that we have ever used so many different players at this stage of the season since Arsene Wenger has been at the club and it is little wonder that we are swimming around the bottom half of the table right now. You can bet your bottom quid that once we have a settled side together who actually stay somewhere near fit then we will start to rise up the
I am wondering if this is the case for Arsenal fans who have only been able to point out negatives, for people who distance themselves from blogs when we have won and played well. Has your love for Arsenal deserted you? As my love for England has deserted me? It is surely the only way to explain the
I found myself with Arsenal information constantly swimming around my head with not enough outlet. This cult was driving me a little insane because it was difficult to channel those emotions. So I decided to throw a couple of html pages together, give it a name and pour out my thoughts without spell checking or proof reading anything, It was a bit of a shambles to be honest. Very haphazard but it helped. It was very strange for me when I realised that some people were actually taking time to
Like most Arsenal players these days, Theo's one major enemy is the injury curse that seems to get its wicked way with him more than the usual Premier League footballer. It also seems to take Theo longer to get back to his best after injury than it does to some others in our squad. Should his injury issues persist then Chamberlain will surely have the door open enough
If our inconsistency post Carling cup continues way into the season then the risk of losing a Champions League place is very real. Personally I think we will find our rhythm and iron out most of our funk plus I don't think that highly of either Liverpool or Tottenham. Even if the worst comes to the worst and we finish outside of the Champions League places we will not suffer financially according to Ivan Gazidis
Personally I would like to see our club maintain the self sustaining model but increase our wages. We are no longer a middle tier club and much of that is thanks to the great work that Arsene Wenger has done in the transfer window and keeping our Champions League place during our move to the Emirates stadium. I have said it before and I will say it again. I think it is more important to keep hold of our players rather than spend more in the transfer window. If we can do both then fantastic but if we
Can mentality really do this much to a group of players? Obviously it has because here we are. Don't worry I haven't forgotten about the loss of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri. I usually do not count Samir Nasri who was often just a fantastic recycler of possession but when he wasn't scoring goals, he wasn't doing a great deal else in an Arsenal shirt. Don't get me wrong, I believe that Nasri will become one of the best players in the world if he keeps improving but for large chunks of his Arsenal
