It is no shame to lose 1-0 at Old Trafford. It doesn't make the defeat any less painful and I truly believed we would beat them but we have another chance to beat these teams at home. You never know, we may even have Cesc, Van Persie and Vermaelen purring smoothly by then. Those three players in shape and on form will be automatic starters in the big
Cesc has been saying on Twitter that he is doing his best to make it for Monday. It is not as if we are rushing him back early, he is currently on schedule but my issue would be his match fitness rather than a reoccurrence of his hammy. If he isn't ready then he will not be risked.
I would start the Tomas Rosicky of Aston Villa and keep Cesc on the bench but then again I wouldn't start the Rosicky of Fulham where he was woeful. It is difficult to tell which players will turn up and which
The footballing gods have really got it in for me haven't they? I have been rather excited like a little boy on Christmas day about the arrival of Wellington da Silva in January, once he is granted his work permit. You know, the one that they promised him. FIFA being FIFA decided against it and refused. It seems like our appeal for a special talent visa was also turned down, so we will not be seeing him in an Arsenal shirt for a number of years now as he will have to go out on loan to a Spanish team to become
What that actually means is 'we have only watched them on highlights and only know where they have come from and haven't the foggiest about their strengths and weaknesses. This is the problem really, many pundits are often talking from a season behind reality. Fabianski to them is the keeper who came in cold, low on confidence and made blunder after blunder. Hopefully by next season he will be the actual keeper that we see today. I find it hilarious that we actually get so much more knowledge from blogs from in fact Joe Blogs who write down their views in their spare time rather than x player who is being paid a shed load of cash to
Imagine we had bloody Bebe in our squad, getting games. Wenger would be absolutely crucified for buying him for £7 million, especially when someone like Van der Vaart would have done the world of good for them at almost the same price. For those who were screaming for Wenger to be sacked last week, I would genuinely like to know your thoughts on the quality of our rivals when they have lost badly. Like the Mancs on Tuesday and Chelsea losing 3-0 to Sunderland at home. Is this just a blip
The trouble is, that squad could be a little attack heavy whilst the midfield could do with another fit player such as Ramsey or Diaby. Van Persie, Walcott and Bendtner will all be expecting to start whilst Carlos Vela and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas would have wanted a chance to show that they
At the final whistle I could have slapped each and every one of those players but on this Monday afternoon a sense of perspective has returned. The defeat has not been forgotten of course it hasn't, it doesn't go that easily but I still believe that we have more good than crap in our squad and my mind hasn't changed from our last 90 minutes. I hope all the players are taking a long hard look at themselves and will do what it takes to be successful but right now all we can do is continue to support this group of players because that is part of the supporter
