After watching the wonderful Eight Years Of Memories video (and if you haven't yet done so then what on earth are you waiting for) I had to make an audacious swoop to land him at Arsenal Vision HQ, well this is the silly season after all. Luckily @FrenchFinesse accepted and is now to be part of the Arsenal Vision team for the coming up and coming season. He is a very level headed Gooner and is a great follow on Twitter so if you are not yet following then please do so (see above link)
Cesc would have a field day I thought. £23m or whatever it was, looked a very good investment. Last season he was up there in the race for player of the year, in a team that were largely pants all season, that takes some doing but while football is football, we are the Arsenal. I don't want to sound like I am jumping on the moral bandwagon here and I probably am but Luis Suarez is a despicable human being. Yes he dives a ridiculous amount and while it is more than our players in the past have done, we have still had a few like Emmanuel Eboue who would go down a little too easy at times. You can deal with that maybe, if you turn a blind eye. He leaves his studs in on the opposition a little too often also but we could dress that up as he is a fighter and wants to win. I mean we've had players in the past who uncompromising at the best of times. But here it is, if I call Suarez a racist I will get people jumping to his

Arsenal or Arsene or Ivan as well where the selling club can change its mind at the last minute and decide "Ok, we want more money" or the same can be done by a player or his agent and things can go back to negotiations. Sometimes clubs care about perception and PR so they can stall and sit on a move that is outgoing until they can secure someone or just appear like they've been strong enough to delay something inevitable. All of these factors add to the perception and this little video of Tim Payton

Ambitious and quality targets aside there have been some other very positive developments. The movement of all the deadweight that was hampering the side is a huge change. By getting rid of the likes of Djourou,Squillaci,Arshavin,Bendtner etc Arsenal have freed up the wage bill and space in the squad as well for some new competent signings. The clear out of the youth squad has also been a monumental change in my view. In my 8 years as an Arsenal fan this is the first time I have seen such a mass exodus of

For what it is worth, I think we will break our transfer record at least twice this summer bringing in top talent but that is based on not a lot more than unsupported optimism along with the quotes coming from Arsenal’s bigwigs in the boardroom. Higuain seems to have bought into Arsene Wenger's plans for the future of Arsenal and his arrival seems to be imminent and I truly hope that a player of his ability and reputation will become that catalyst we need and get other targets on board with the revolution so Arsenal can

Ramsey, is another favourite player of mine – the Ox. Chamberlain had a pretty poor season last year, as many youngsters have in their second season of top flight football, but I have a feeling that this year will see him return as the bundle of energy, tricks and powerful forward play that saw him break into the England squad. The reason behind my optimism for Chamberlain is that I see him becoming a vital asset to our team in midfield

The opposition player behind him tried to pull him, but he was left in the Frenchman's wake. Now, he was running with the ball and there were 3 opposition players who were forming a wall in front of him. While running at great speed towards the opposition goal, this guy in red and white somehow managed to run laterally in front of that wall. And as soon as he saw some space, he used his left foot

How Higuain Arsenal combination would look like. Cesc as a false nine. I am not sure I fully agree with that. I think that none of the players in that experiment was clinical enough for it to work. Essentially you need at least two or three players with close to the finishing skills of a striker whilst having the rest of the skills of an attacking midfielder. Spain just haven’t got that at the moment. I don’t think there are many of these players around today; Messi is one of the few that has that combination of skills. However one player that comes
Johan Djourou looking likely to make a permanent switch to Hamburg. I must say, I like Johan and thought he would have been a perfect back up for Mertesacker. Both are similar in style and provide a good balance to Koscielny
