Never in my time as a Gooner have I wanted a group of players to succeed more than I do now, much more than my own personal happiness. I want Arsene Wenger, Cesc Fabregas, Denilson, Abou Diaby and the youngsters who have been told they are not good enough to prove them all wrong
Andrey Arshavin, William Gallas and Abou Diaby, all three players would have almost certainly been picked will not be taking part this afternoon but the strength of our squad has seen us cope with all these issues time and time again
I stuck the audience with Tony Adams onto mp3 and listened to it on my way home today, it was quite interesting more interesting than I thought it would be. Adams was a great player, a true legend.
Gilbert jumped off the train and jogged ahead of the pack. My first thought was that perhaps I should leave it as he looks in a hurry but as I have already psyched myself up and wasted valuable train time
One thing i think needs a lot of work is the lack of depth and versatility we show going forward, as we assail opponents by constantly passing the ball around trying to find a perfect space, and because of this we suffer against the other top teams
Emmanuel Eboue has been speaking very highly about Theo, saying that he can be the best player in England if he works hard, that could be so, but in the meantime he should be left to improve and develop his game
There was also pressure from the Arsenal faithful who all wanted to see what Eriksson had seen in the young sensation to unplug him from Wenger’s protective wings while excluding a player like Defoe
It will be interesting to see what decision Wenger makes on Sagna and Eboue. As well as Eboue played on Saturday, and yes he was fantastic, I think Sagna's defensive contribution needs to be acknowledged. We have had problems with being caught on the break
Emmanuel Eboue. He was direct, full of energy and gave the side a dynamic outlet. As a talent, he is hugely underestimated. Full of ability, speed and tricks. Theo Walcott would do well to watch him closely. Rarely gives a pass away
Coincedentially, this same fixture took place on the 21st February 2009, only a day later than the fixture today. That was a very frustrating afternoon as our players continued to bang their heads against the Sunderland brick wall
