Your Vision – 82 Points – The Magic Number

what does Arsenal need to do to win title? Instead of doing a “5 things Arsenal need to do” (The rather common clickbait article), I thought of actually going through the fixture list and seeing how we are placed to win the title. A lot of sites are predicting that the title will be won at around 80-82 points. Considering the upper limit, Let us see how we can get those 82 points. Currently, We have 39 points and We have 19 more games to go. To simplify things, I have divided the fixtures into 3 categories

Your Vision – Transfer Frenzy

Newcastle United (h) Confirmed Line Up: Ox keeps his place while Gabriel drops out

A few interesting changes made today from the boss, or should I say non changes in some positions. Gabriel might be feeling the pinch a little today after a top class performance against AFC Bournemouth. Mathieu Flamini comes back into the team in place of Calum Chambers but that is more understandable.

Burnley (h) Confirmed Line Up: Ramsey & Xhaka Continue While Bellerin Makes The Bench

Newcastle (h) Thoughts & Predicted Line Up: Özil needs to continue to find Theo but avoid rough treatment

You have to imagine that Mesut will have to deal with more and more attention both on and off the pitch given his stupendous form. The good news however is that Mesut Özil is no ordinary footballer, is he? He is the master of finding space where there seems to be very little. Imagine how tough it would be to mark a player like that. You can be next to him one moment, watching the ball then you turn around and Özil is on the opposite side of the pitch in a neat little pocket of space that didn't even exist only a moment or two before

AFC Bournemouth (h) “Anyone can score with Özil on the pitch” – Q&A

Not that they were particularly bad, but Theo and Per didn't have the best of games. Slapstick miss of an open goal from Per, plus a few misplaced passes especially early in the first half, when we looked a bit shaken and lacking of confidence. Theo was offside for his entertaining moment, but still he should've done better on that and another couple of chances he had. With just 40 touches of the ball and 18 attempted passes, he was under-involved today, especially when you compare him to Mesut or even Oxlade-Chamberlain

Chelsea (h) “Theo becoming the player nobody thought he’d become” – Q&A

Southampton (a) & AFC Bournemouth (h) – Bottle or Fatigue? & Another Özil Pass-terclass

Arsène said post match that the team started with the trauma of the Southampton game in their system as the visitors started brighter but we wrestled control of the game and that is when Mesut Özil stole the show once more with a ridiculous array of passes that sliced open Bournemouth. The German was once again on another level to those around him on both teams

Southampton (a) Confirmed Line Up: Arsène sticks with trusted 11

Arsène Wenger has stuck with the same 11 that triumphed over Manchester City 2-1 last Monday night. With the games coming thick and fast over this festive period, Arsene had a decision to make. Would he make rotate tonight and for the game coming up against AFC Bournemouth? The other option was to send the same successful 11 to go again tonight and hope they can do the business in a ground that has proved to be a tricky venue for us in recent years, even if the Saints form is not so great today. Hopefully we can get through the game without further injuries and also hopefully picking up some very important 3 points to boot.

Burnley (h) Confirmed Line Up: Ramsey & Xhaka Continue While Bellerin Makes The Bench

Southampton (a) Thoughts & Predicted Line Up: How things can change in less than 12 months

They have lost 5 of their last 6 games, the only point they managed was a 1-1 draw to bottom of the table Aston Villa during that sequence. They were thumped 6-1 at St Mary's on December 2nd by Liverpool and they have not recovered. So I am very much in two minds here. Part of me says we should batter them after our confidence boosting 2-1 win against Manchester City and the Saints woeful form but the worried part of my brain says that teams love to bounce back against Arsenal.

West Brom (a) – Thoughts & Predicted Line Up: Rotation, Youthful Defenders & Away Form

Manchester City (h) – Has Walcott been working on his shooting at London Colny?

Walcott's goal moments later was a thing of absolute beauty. It's not the first time that he has taken a pass intended for someone else and then gone on to score. He did the same in our home victory last season to Aston Villa. Last weekend against Aston Villa his whipped finish into the far corner was wrongly disallowed, on Monday night he did it again so I wonder if he has been working on it behind the scenes at London Colny. At the start of the season when he was given his chance as a central striker many of his shots were very tame often quite powder-puff. I remember screaming out for a whipped effort rather than a soft curling shot that was easy to save.
