Cesc has recovered from injury and has been working hard to get back to full fitness, hopefully he can get on the ball and continue his early season form. Against Chelsea and Birmingham City we lacked that extra bit of quality outside their penalty area
Nicklas Bendtner and Theo Walcott rejoin the squad following long injuries. Cesc Fabregas, Thomas Vermaelen and Bacary Sagna are close but not close enough to be involved later on this afternoon. However we should see at least Cesc in midweek against FC Shakhtar Donetsk
Arshavin's performance against Partizan Belgrade was very exciting for me. He was the player who I thought we would witness much more since his record signing. He was getting involved and creating chance after chance
Denilson who was majestic in the Carling Cup could well be drafted back into the defensive midfield position which will hopefully allow us to dictate the tempo of game better, while adding better positional sense
It would be interesting to see how he does in that role with better players around him. Jack may not get his chance as he played the full game on Tuesday including the extra time. Wenger has to also decide who should start as the second midfielder
This fixture feels a little strange for me right now, I fully understand and appreciate the kids learning and featuring in this competition, you get to almost enjoy the matches without the same pressure as you would feel when watching the first team
The experienced French defender has hit the ground running since coming into the team in place of the injured Thomas Vermaelen. So far he has had the luxury of the home comforts of the Emirates, it will be his first start away from home in the Arsenal colours and I am interested to know how he copes with the likes of Darren Bent
I was amazed yet not really surprised to read that Denilson had double the amount of passes of the ball than Cesc for our fantastic fourth goal on Saturday. He passed the ball more times in the short time he was on the pitch than many players who played 90 minutes on that same Saturday.
Judging by the current players missing, it looks as if Wenger has only one choice to make in his starting line up. He could go for the direct running and pace of Emmanuel Eboue, which would be the closest option to Theo Walcott or he could go with the in form Tomas Rosicky on the right of the attack. I believe that the fact that we are at home and that Rosicky's form is very good will see our super Czech get the managers vote
Chamakh has been brought into the club not only for his presence in the attacking third of the pitch but also at the defensive area of the pitch. With Blackburn likely to use every opportunity to deliver high balls into our penalty area, Chamakh will be needed to help out his defenders and win the aerial duels
