Manchester United (h) Thoughts & Line Up: A new movie please

The mood amongst the Arsenal fans after our 3-2 defeat at the hands of the Greeks in midweek was very low, frustrations boiling over online (shock horror) and the managers future being questioned by sections of the fan base. Yet victory this afternoon against Manchester United at the Emirates would put Arsenal only two points off the top of the table, that without Arsenal having found any consistency and it's fair to say, not anywhere near our best form. That is not exactly a bad position to be in at this moment in time, but you know that anything less than a victory today will more than likely see Arsenal fans venting at the final whistle and obviously that helps absolutely nobody at Arsenal football club. Especially the players who we are kinda hoping find some consistency and

Olympiacos (h) Thoughts & Line Up: Midfield injuries could force managers hand

The only players to play in both games for the full 90 minutes were Per Mertesacker and Aaron Ramsey but Arsène has somewhat of a problem. Both Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini will miss tonight's game with injury and I think in an ideal world, Arsène would want to give Francis Coquelin a few extra days off and not risk his knee so even though Ramsey played in both games, I wouldn't be surprised if we continued with Ramsey in the middle alongside Santi. That would open a door for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to start down our right against the same opposition in which he scored his first Champions League goal.

Leicester City (a) Confirmed Line Up: Two Goal Hero Keeps His Place

It's amazing what a volley at the lane can do for you. Mathieu Flamini has jumped up the pecking order and keeps his place in the team ahead of Mikel Arteta as Francis Coquelin is still short following a knee injury. Gabriel's one game suspension has given Per Mertesacker the chance to win his shirt back after sickness so he will partner Laurent Koscielny at the heart of the defence. The rest of the team that were cheated at Stamford Bridge come back into the side which means Theo Walcott reclaims his position leading the line.

Leicester City (a) Thoughts & Line Up: Flamini, Alexis & Mahrez + 12 Months of Evolution

Arsène Wenger said that Francis Coquelin will not be available for today so it will be interesting to see what Arsène does in that area. Mikel Arteta would have been next in line before Wednesday but Mathieu Flamini's match winning performance may have changed the managers mind. The decision may not just be about the mindset of the players but Leicester have quick players who may well be used on the break against us, for all of Arteta's quality, his ability to get across the pitch wasn't his strength a few years back, let alone now so Mathieu Flamini may be the better option in that regard at least

Tottenham (a) Thoughts & Line Up: Squad players likely to get second chance

Regardless our form in recent matches and regardless of our opponents we are playing in a tournament that has always and will always be the last in a list of priorities. We played on Saturday 12th September against Stoke City then four days later we faced Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia. Arsène had made a few changes in that game because we only had three days before we had to play Chelsea which was also away from home. Not only all of that but we had to pla

Chelsea (a) Thoughts & Line Up: Big game needed from Alexis & Özil

The victory in the Community shield was very enjoyable, the goal from Ox was top quality and the way we shut them out was classy and professional but in the middle of all the post much high fiving I found myself wishing it was at Stamford Bridge because this is where it matters. Unfortunately Jose Mourinho will probably be drumming that into his players heads. They are fully aware that victory against us will more than likely kick start their season and surely if you are a good human being, you cannot want that. We have all been enjoying and smirking at the Special ones, special results of late. That continuing is just a good thing for the rest of the world but as we know, good things don't always happen and we would be beyond foolish to expect them to approach this game any

Dinamo Zagreb (a) Thoughts & Line Up: Line up permutations galore, but balance must be found

Champions League football returns for another year, it is quite amazing how we take it for granted these days such is the consistency of our participation in this competition. But participation is not what Arsène Wenger wants I imagine, he wants to win the one competition that has escaped his grasp so far. But this is no Mickey mouse competition and there is a reason why only a handful of clubs have a strangle hold over the trophies for the most part. But regardless of the odds, Arsène Wenger will want his squad to give it there best shot and that starts in Croatia against Dinamo Zagreb who are undefeated in 41 games, that is a hell of a lot of games. Maybe we can end that by kicking the Zagreb players all over the pitch, pulling their forward down when he is running through on goal

Stoke City (h) Thoughts & Line Up: Would Arteta & Walcott help with home improvements?

Theo and Giroud on the pitch at once gives us a better chances of scoring, plus they have always seemed to compliment each other pretty well whenever they have played together. The biggest change for me would be in midfield, I would start either Mikel Arteta or Santi Cazorla as our deepest option which I know is almost blasphemy in the eyes of some. I am just not sure whether tough tackling, hard as nails 'DMS' are needed in every single home game. In a game where our build up play could be more of a determining factor to the result than a battling in midfielder, I wonder if one of the Spaniards dictating from deep which would allow Ramsey

West Ham (h) Thoughts & Line Up: Let’s make the mythical statement to the PL

You all chuckled and giggled at us during the early part of last season, you smirked as we failed to get our attacking game together, grinned when we dropped points against lower placed clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and chortled when we lost player after player to injury. Well I hope you enjoyed your fun because you won't get another chance to do that for a long while. We have been slowly building this squad after tearing up the Santos, Bendtner, Gervinho team. I don't know how but we have managed to slip under the radar until now. Picking up a footballing freak like Mesut Özil who has already read five steps ahead of your first thought on the pitch. We picked up a South American whirlwind in Alexis Sanchez and now we have one of the best goalkeepers in Premier League history.

Aston Villa (n) Thoughts & Preview: Szczesny start, Dino Benteke & 2nd chance for Mean Lean junior

My constant and probably quite random outbursts of 'we really cannot lose this game' did not go unheard. On cup final day I along with a few Gooner friends went to watch the game at another friend of ours where we consumed plenty of beverages and food, pre match it was all going so well and the spirits were high until we of course went 2-0 down, nearly 3 but for a Gibbs clearance off the line. It was that point where I received a phone call from Mrs Lean telling me to try and refrain from passing on my football stresses to Lean junior in future. He had moved into the kitchen to get away from his younger sister who was winding him up and obviously didn't understand the seriousness of the situation. By gee it was serious. Sitting on his own upset at what he had seen on TV. 'This is a match Arsenal have to win' he told his mother desperately trying to fight back the tears
