It looks like Alex Song will partner William Gallas at the heart of defence in place of Toure

Arsene Wenger could be mistaken for a Spanish bloke with a stupid looking beard ahead of the Champions League match away to Slavia Prague.

Cesc Fabregas and Alex Hleb have been rested while Kolo Toure and Tomas Rosicky (As per usual) have knocks and all will not travel to Prague.

I agree that both Hleb and Fabregas need resting and this is probably the best game to rest a few players as we are close to qualifying and Slavia Prague are not world beaters.

Gilberto will come in probably for Flamini as I could not imagine Gilberto and Flamini playing as a partnership as he would rather have a creator in that position. Someone who can keep the ball. Denilson is probably the nearest like for like player to Cesc.

Where does this leave Diarra? It is possible that Sagna could be on the bench and Diarra could replace him at right back. Alot of fans including myself would like to see him playing in his natural central midfield position in the first team.

Arsene has also confirmed that Theo Walcott will start the match, with both Hleb and Rosicky left out of the squad I can only assume that Walcott will be deployed as a winger. We shall wait and see.

How on earth did Liverpool beat our Champions League record? I am not best pleased to be honest. At least let us have the record (albeit joint) for a season. It just goes to show that if you try and attack a team you can actually score goals instead of defending behind the ball and hoofing it. The opposition were a massive pile of pooh though you must say. They actually beat Liverpool 2-1 in the home match. Arsene will be informing the players of this before they take to the pitch tomorrow.

Did you see that aboulstely disgusting so called tackle by that Benfica player on the Celtic player (Scott Brown I think) just watching it on the replay hurts my leg. A 3 game ban really isn’t enough to be honest. For punishment UEFA should make him play for Tottenham for a season. You know, he would never do it again.
