I think with Diarra they will win the league this season and Diarra will be player of the season
Slightly late entry this afternoon,
I am getting a bit bored of saying this but hopefully this is the last time I mention it but it seems as if Lassana Diarra has finally completed his dream move to high flying Portsmouth. I think with Diarra they will win the league this season and Diarra will be player of the season. They will probably be allowed to take Arsenal’s place in the Champions League quarter finals and go on to beat Barcelona in the final 12-0 with Diarra scoring 10 and setting up the other two even though he had tap ins.
I’m sure the French coach would be pleased.
Lassana Diarra showed how grateful he is to Portsmouth for taking the chance on him by saying.
“The people at Portsmouth know I will not spend my life at this club,” he added.
“If I shine, if a really big club wants me, I know already that everything will go well.
How very nice of him, I really think that he should retire from football because it is quite clear that there is no team big enough for him.
Anyway, like I have said all along he is not very good anyway *ahem*
Arsene Wenger has talked up the abilities of Fran Merida.
“He is a great player,” Wenger told Arsenal.com. “He has a good opportunity to play there and he should be at Sociedad for six months.”
“It is still a little bit too early for them to play in the first team at Arsenal. So there is a little gap period for them.
“We always think about how we can use this period for the benefit for the boy and the Club. One of the solutions is to get them into clubs where they can get first-team experience.”
I wonder how much Arsene rates him, Cesc Fabregas was breaking through into the first team at 17 years old and he cannot get a start in the Carling Cup matches. I suppose our central midfield has strengthened a little since then. Good luck to him though.
Our old friend Julio Baptista has spoken about his time last season at Arsenal.
“It was difficult in London.
“Playing there in England was completely different to what I was used to.
“I couldn’t play the same way here in Spain. It forced me to adjust – I matured a lot in London.”
He has done quite well this season at Real, I have watched him a few times on Sky and it is amazing how different things are when you have more time on the ball.
So King Kev Keegan is back at Newcastle, I have to say even I am quite excited by his return. I loved watching his team in the 90’s. I have alot of time for Keegan, I must say. I just don’t know if he can do the same. Times have changed, money has changed. The big boys are now even bigger. Newcastle won’t be challenging Manchester United for the league anymore. He will do a great job if he can get them into Europe playing attractive attacking football. Basically, something that Tottenham would love to be able to do.
Hookey dookey, I am off. Back tomorrow.
