I believe Ramsey has the attributes to be a complete midfielder in his twenties. He can tackle, track his runner, good vision, can dribble and scores goals. He still has some developing to do before he can be considered as a first team starter on a regular basis
*I have paypal, I receive cheque’s, postal orders, cash, food vouchers, vouchers that you have collected from Christmas for rubbish shops that you do not want anything from.
Its my 21st birthday today, ok maybe I am a few years older but only a few *ahem*
A good start to the presents is the news of young Aaron Ramsey signing a new long term deal at Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger is obviously very pleased and had some good things to say about the starlet. Arsene said:
“We’re delighted that Aaron has signed a new long term contract. He made a very good contribution in his first season and he showed that he is a very intelligent player with great quality. He is still only 18 and we’re really looking forward to seeing him develop with us in the forthcoming years.”
I believe Ramsey has the attributes to be a complete midfielder in his twenties. He can tackle, track his runner, good vision, can dribble and scores goals. He still has some developing to do before he can be considered as a first team starter on a regular basis. At the moment he is clearly a rough diamond who gives the ball away more than he should at this level, he also tends to run into blind alleys but this is all perfectly normal of an 18 year old making the jump from part time championship player to the best club in the world. You don’t get many Cesc Fabregas’ who come in at such a young age and not make many mistakes.
If Arsene does alter the formation to suit our central players then it will suit the likes of Ramsey who would struggle to get a game in a 4-4-2.
Ivan Gazidis had his say on the state of affairs concerning players wages.
Gazidis speaking to The Guardian said:
“I think it is worth our while to investigate whether there are elements of the salary cap system, which they have in US NFL and baseball (sic), which would benefit football,”
“Clubs have a duty to provide more stability in our business models and some form of wage restraint is one element worth looking at. There are many ways in which it could work.”
Certainly something has to be done with both ridiculously inflated transfer fees and wages. It has only really started to become a problem with this new wave of billionaire businessmen joining football clubs around the Premier League and the rest of the world.
Clubs who are running their clubs the correct way like ourselves are getting the short stick when it comes to holding onto players. We pay our players competitive wages but only what we can afford as our money is what we make and not what is borrowed.
The new cash flushed clubs are paying more than they can afford which obviously turns heads. Something has to be done to stop clubs having the short term advantage by mismanaging their clubs.
Today is supposed to be the day where the board sit down with Usmanov to discuss the Russians proposals to get his claws into the club help the club out. I would think that the board will just listen to kindly say no thanks, it sure is a good opportunity to feed the current board some bullshit though.
I think we are managing the club just fine without any extra help thank you.
Remember the Gallas quotes yesterday of him staying?
“I am at Arsenal, my contract is still valid for a year, so I am an Arsenal player,” Gallas said on www.skysports.com.
“We have not talked about renewing the contract, but I am relaxed and looking forward to next season with Arsenal.”
I said that it was unlikely that they would have twisted it as it was positive, well I tell you what, it didn’t take very long that’s for sure.
A new angle has been inserted. I will leave for free blasts Gallas or something rubbish like that. Are we surprised *all together now* NO!
Before I make tracks, I would just like to point you to two new Your Vision articles that have been sent in by readers.
Your Vision – In Myles We Trust ? Are you in that camp?…… (By Arsene Wenger)
Your Vision – What the line-up should be next season…… (By Tom Lee)
Just to remind you all that Your Vision is not My Vision, My Vision is mine Your Vision is yours and not mine because if it was mine then it sure wouldn’t be yours. Sometimes we have people getting confused and addressing me in the comments.
Right that is that for now, enjoy the sunshine (if you have it where you are) back tomorrow.
* The sending money thing was a joke, but I still have a hope that a rich billionaire will find a couple million in his back pocket and send it to me for the hell of it. If you do, then I will give you a mention on the site and that could be great for you. See you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours sort of thing.
Don’t forget that you can submit your own articles on the YourVision section and receive feedback from fellow Gooners.
