I found myself getting rather snappy when I glanced across a headline on a news feed about Manchester City swooping for van Persie after contract… blah blah. I didn’t even complete the headline before screaming out obscenities on my way to the train station this morning. Let alone click the link. Please, if you can do one thing for me today, it is please do not click that hit whoring filth. We do not need to encourage them any further to make up news rather than report on actual news
I don’t want to moan about it again, it is all I seem to do around this time but what else are you supposed to do when Arsenal news is so difficult to come by. The reason why it is so difficult to come by is because of international football so they brought the moaning upon themselves, so *moan, moan, moan at international football*
I should really listen to that boy band who say that I say it best, when I say nothing whatsoever or something. In fact I wish the Daily fail would do the same. Anyone fancy sticking a few hidden speakers in the Daily Mail headquarters? and then putting that song on repeat just loud enough so it gets into their subconscious.

Weird I know but someone told me that the media actually used to write real life events. Don’t laugh, check it up if you don’t believe me.
The reason why this ‘story’ has come about is because P Woody (aka Peter Hill-Wood) has spoken to his chums at the Daily Star about van Persie. Hill-Wood has said that Robin does not want to discuss his contract until the summer and that he saw no reason why he wouldn’t stay with Arsenal.
I almost feel pushed into talking about this but I won’t buckle under the force of peer pressure. Not much good can be taken from thinking too much about this situation.
I am going to give you some incredible insight that may just inspire you for the rest of the day, This van Persie contract can go either two ways. Yep, two. Either he signs a new deal or he doesn’t. Why discuss this any further until we have more indication as to what he will do or what the club will do. Don’t torture yourself over it, it just ain’t worth it. Remember about all the sleepness nights you had over losing Cesc and Nasri? No? ok, perhaps that was just me.
Interesting to see Francis Coquelin talking to .com after his comments to the French press. Either he was dragged by his ear and thrown a script to read or he caught the eye of Wenger’s persuasive hypnotic gaze. Either way he said all the right things and I hope he can remain patient and get some of the games he wants.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain played for the England under 21s last night. I watched a bit of the game at the start, I saw up until Chamberlain won the ball back on the byline, raced towards the keeper from the touchline and attempted to lob the keeper from the angle but his execution was not quite correct. The game was very lively and end to end at that point but unfortunately I had other things to attend to and could not watch the rest of it. I left the game at 0-0 both teams looking dangerous and it was pretty end to end until I saw the final score line. 5-0 to England. It really did not seem like a 5-0 from the early exchanges. Oxlade-Chamberlain didn’t score in a 5-0 win, clearly not good enough, time to get rid me thinks.
Actually given the fickleness of a football fan, I will give him one more chance seeing as he created a few goals for others. I love that saying. ‘I will give him one more chance’ like we can do a jot about anything. It is the old Championship manager in the brain syndrome. A terrible disease that needs to be treated instantly. If found early enough then maybe you can do something about it, unlike picking the Arsenal team.
Arsene has confirmed that Brek Shea is at Arsenal to help the kid but it is not a trial of any sort. So we are scratching his back but who is scratching ours?
With plenty of American influence at our club these days, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were further connections with American clubs developing over the next few years.
Especially as the future of football is with the USA and Asia according to the manager.
Before I hit the road Jack, I wanted to point you in the direction of an article about Laurent ‘The Cobra’ Koscielny. It is a few weeks old so you may have already come across it but I finally had the chance to read it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Worth a gander I reckon.
And with that, I bid you a good day.
Back tomorrow.
