As you can expect most of the news today is about the Liverpool game gone and the Liverpool match coming up on Saturday.
Cesc Fabregas still believes that we can still lift the Premier League trophy at the end of the season.
“We are still in the title race and for the season that is important.
“Confidence is important for any team in the world. Even if you play well, sometimes things go against you, so we showed great character and ambition on Saturday. Let’s see if that is positive for the rest of the season.”
Fabregas added: “All we have to do is concentrate on winning every game and that’s it.

I think we will drop more points from now to the end of the season. I read that Vidic could be out injured against us after picking up a knee injury against Roma. That would be a big bonus.
Cesc Fabregas has also been speaking about his friend and teammate Mathieu Flamini. He wants him to sign his contract and quick.
“I keep telling him to sign it quick because we need him,” said Fabregas.
“But he is concentrating on the football at the moment – we are still going for two titles, so right now, everything else is not as important.
Is it greed? are we not offering enough? Is it the interference from Flam’s agent? We probably will never know, and to be honest as long as he signs his deal I don’t really care.
Speaking of central midfield players, Arsene Wenger has handed young Fran Merida a new extended contract.
Wenger Said: “Yes we have extended his contract,” confirmed the manager. “That was planned and it is good news because he is a very fine player. He is one for the future.
“The reports I have from [his loan spell in] Spain are that he does well everytime he plays. Fran is very technical. He still needs to grow physically but football-wise there is no problem. He is an absolutely amazing player.”
Wow, ‘He is an absolutely amazing player’ that is some big up isn’t it? He has a task on his hands though. He is really playing for 1 spot and that happens to be owned by a certain Cesc Fabregas. Merida isn’t a player who can converted to a wide man as he does not possess the pace to play in that position. Take a look at Denilson and Diaby they have been waiting patiently for a chance to borrow Cesc’s position but it just hasn’t happened. We shall see.
Congrats to Almunia. His form has earned him a nice little contract. I feel very happy and content with Almunia as first choice now. I would have NEVER said that last season. I would have cried if someone told me that Almunia will be first choice next season.
We have been linked with yet another player, and it is not a wide player *frown* It is however the talented Brazilian Diego from Werder Bremen.
Probably rubbish ey? Yeah probably but for some reason this has come from Diego’s father, who is also his agent.
Djar Cunha is quoted in the Sun as saying: “Real, Arsenal and Juve love my son.
“I am not happy with the situation at Bremen. The dream of Diego is to play in Champions League.”
