Do we need Woodgate? / Rosicky Knee Problem?

Apparently we have just had a bid accepted for Jonathan Woodgate. Wow, that is a little confusing

It is quiet today, not much in the way of news at the moment but I will attempt to waffle my way through another post.

The daily mail have reported that Rosicky could be out for the Newcastle game with a knee injury but I cannot find any news on Arsenal.com or anywhere else for that matter. The difference between having an inform Rosicky and an out of sorts Walcott is pretty vast so lets just hope that he was taken off out of precaution.

Speaking of injuries, Kolo Toure will miss the Ivory coast clash against Mali with a groin injury. The funny thing (or not so funny) is that I cannot remember Toure picking up an injury for a long long time whilst playing for Arsenal then he plays his first match for his country and gets injured. Lets just hope that they have a good enough medical team to make sure that he is ok for the long term.

Apparently Adebayor and Bendtner have made up and everything is hunky dory. I haven’t heard anything from Bendtner though, I will only believe that everything is fine once I hear from him. I am sure Arsene would have told them both to put it behind them for the sake of the club.

I was hoping that Tottenham would beat Manchester United in the FA Cup match yesterday, I wanted us to meet the scum again at some point this season to get our revenge on them (even though we beat them in both league games) but It wasn’t to be. They always manage to shoot themselves in the foot against Man United.

BREAKING NEWS: Apparently we have just had a bid accepted for Jonathan Woodgate. Wow, that is a little confusing. If this is the case and we do manage to buy him then what exactly happens when Toure comes back from the African Nations cup? Woodgate has always played very well against us so that would not surprise me if Arsene had interest in him. Of of the plus points in buying him would be that Tottenham would be pissed! But that is not a reason to spend £8 Million pounds on a player. Woodgate is a consistent and proven Senderos without the errors. Maybe Toure could be moved to a new position but where would he go? Sagna surely has made that position his own, Flamini is doing very well in the holding position and Arsene is not going to switich to a back 5 so what happens? Leave Gallas on the bench? No because he is captain. Toure? Are you crazy? And would Woodgate sign to sit on the bench and play the odd game here and there? Personally I cannot imagine him signing, it just seems a little far fetched but lets wait and see.

Thats about it for now, I will update after 1.30pm for the FA Cup draw

Update:

Woodgate will not be joining the club, Arsene has denied any interest.

FA Cup: We have been drawn against Manchester United at Old Trafford. We couldn’t have got a harder game. Arsene will play a mixed team against them so we could well lose that one but we could also win so lets see.

Right, back to work. Until Tomorrow.
