I have been looking forward to Diarra starting in central midfield and although he was not at his best he still did alot of good things and shows good potiental
Don’t Saturdays like those make you feel good? We win and our rival lose. We haven’t had that for a long time. Bolton kicked the shit out of Manchester United which is a pleasant change. Normally teams stand off against them and ask for autographs but they are first to say ‘the way to beat Arsenal is to kick them!’ Hopefully now other teams will follow Boltons lead. Ferguson was complaining about the over physical approach of Bolton but I bet we won’t hear that he is just moaning because his team has lost as the press/other fans etc say about us.
It wasn’t the prettiest performance but it was pretty much exactly how I expected it to be. Yesterdays prediction was infact
My prediction for the game today will be us to win 2-0 but score the goals after 60 minutes.
I just thought that the missing players and International break would really upset our rhythm and it certainally did, especially in the first half. We haven’t been at our best since Anfield. I just hope we find that form again quickly because we will not be able to get away with a first half like that against the likes of Aston Villa and Everton away.
I have been looking forward to Diarra starting in central midfield and although he was not at his best he still did alot of good things and shows good potiental. Theo was the one bright spark yesterday, he looked techincially very good and confident. It is just a shame that he didn’t manage to get a goal. He would have done had Adebayor cut the ball back to him in the second half instead of playing some weird pass type cross type shot sort of thing.
Theo Walcott was clattered into by the oaf that is Emile Heskey, but luckily he is not added onto our injury list.
“Theo does not look bad. The physio told me he had to come off straight away because he was numb as he had been kicked on the nerve.
“He twisted his ankle and we checked on a X-ray, and he looks all right,” explained manager Arsene Wenger.
William Gallas was once again fantastic and is proving to everyone that Arsene does infact know what he is doing. His leadership qualities are there for all to see and contines to drag the team to victory. It was a real goalscorers header from our captain.
I was watching Sky Sports News this morning and Gallas was joking about with the reporter and thanking Nicolas Anelka for his goal against Manchester United because they spoke about it when they met up for France.
Arsene Wenger has saluted his captain.
“He is a forgotten centre-forward because he knows where to be in the box and he can always turn up with a goal when you need it.
I am going to enjoy my Sunday and watch West Ham v Spurs. Speak again tomorrow.
