Do you remember the Walcott of Blackburn away and Bolton away this season? Electric, he was like a slalom skier, weaving through defenders for fun. I am looking forward to that player back amongst us
How is your week going so far? I’m sure it is going just as good as mine. We have closed the gap to 3 points thanks to Manchester City. I wasn’t that confident that they would do us a favour especially without Craig Bellamy and Robinho but their home form proved to be the difference.
Aston Villa will be a little shaken up right now that’s for sure. They have a massive 1 point from their last 3 games and that was against Stoke City at home. They have away trips to Liverpool and Manchester United to look forward to now *giggle*
Ok, enough giggling and chuckling to myself, I am almost assuming that we have already won our next few games which is obviously far from the truth. The last thing we want is our squad to be as complacent as my article so far. Our next league game is against Blackburn Rovers at home and you know exactly what kind of tactics our good friend Sam Allardyce will use. We have to work out a way of breaking that down before that game turns up on our doorstep. The brucey bonus is that we will have 2 ‘new signings’ by then. Yeah I am kidding but barring any set backs or new injuries we should have Eduardo and Walcott part of the match day squad which will open a new chapter of options for our manager, hey! when Cesc, Adebayor and Rosicky enter the fray we should give him a new book… ok, I have lost myself now but just pretend you know what I am talking about.
It will be nice to see both Eduardo and Walcott on Sunday, Wenger is a little more unsure of Eduardo, he is waiting to see how he responds before deciding on him, but Theo is a definite.
I have mentioned this before but I am not jumping up and down about the return of Theo just yet. The only reason for this is because he has been a slow starter so far. Whenever he hasn’t had a run of games, he tends to be very rusty and his decision making isn’t quite what it should be. But a confident, match sharp Theo Walcott is a different kettle of fish. Kettle of fish? Why would you want to put fish in your kettle? And why is it so different?

I have made it known enough how much I have missed Tomas Rosicky but I have to say, I would rather a fully fit Eduardo right now. He should feature in some way against Hull City Burnley on Sunday, so lets pray for him to get through the game unscathed.
Ok, so what is going on around the world of Arsenal? Well Cesc Fabregas, that’s what. He has allegedly made comments about his future being tied to Arsene Wenger’s.
Cesc speaking to Catalunya Radio said:
“If Wenger leaves, I will think of moving on. I’m happy at Arsenal because it’s the ideal club. If at the present time there’s a team in Europe that plays like Barca, it’s Arsenal. I prefer not speaking about my injury. I want to be back playing at the start of next month or in mid-April.”
This would not be a surprise whatsoever. It sure would not stop at Cesc Fabregas either. To be honest, most of the players who sign for Arsenal are signing because of Arsene Wenger and not the clubs history, you would have to be blind not to think that could be the case in many of our transfers to our club.
Most of our players have come over from another country and have been educated by Wenger, he makes players believe in themselves, makes them grow and develop as people. If we had another manager in charge then I am sure many of the players would have jumped ship during this transition period.
When the day comes when Arsene finally stands down as manager then you can be sure of change. Hopefully when that day comes we will have such a vast production line of talent that we will cope with the departures.
The youngsters take on the Spuds tonight in the FA Youth cup, so for those who have Arsenal TV you can get another chance to see what the future is looking like.
The future of the club looks like players like Wilshere, Ramsey, Merida etc, the players of the past isn’t so good. Our great friend Ashley Cole has got himself arrested for being drunk and disorderly. He was swearing repeatedly at Police officers. Wow, the referee’s must get it good and proper from him, oh and he must swear at them quite often also. *ahem*
Lunch time = time to go.
Back tomorrow.
