Did Kolo really say that? I haven’t heard the interview myself but words like ‘astounded’ and ‘affinity’ do not sound like a Kolo Toure interview
After two weekends of misery and depression the tide could well be changing. The clouds could well be breaking away with a hint of sunshine about to come through, yes I am talking about Eduardo Da Silva.
His ban has been overturned and it is a massive middle finger stick up to so many non Arsenal people. Well done Arsene, Gazidis and his crew for fighting this case and coming up trumps.
I fancy Eduardo to play and score a brace tomorrow evening, surely it is the only way to finish this story. I know yesterday I said that I wouldn’t listen to Collymore on Talksport but I received a text from a Gooner pal of mine and he told me that I should listen to him.
The guy was frothing at the mouth, seriously I worried for his health. His obvious hatred of Arsenal and Arsene couldn’t be covered up and I am just pleased that he didn’t have a girlfriend near him at the time. He continuously shouted down proper Gooners and allowed people with the same opinion as himself to speak.
I was desperate for someone to call up and ask what he thinks about Ashley Young’s dives the next day, as a Villa supporter I would have loved to hear what he would have had to say. No doubt some more froth would have spilled out of his annoying mouth and it would have been diverted to how Eduardo deserves to be hanged along with Wenger.
I suppose I could continue writing about how much of a twat Stan Collymore is but he does not deserve that much of my time. The pillock.
Eduardo is obviously pleased with the result and was talking to the official website.
“I’m very pleased that we have finally arrived at the truth. All we needed to do was to prove what happened and we have managed to do that. This decision makes me feel a lot better.
“I certainly feel relieved now. I have had great support from my family, friends and of course everyone at the Club.
“Now I just want to forget about this and think about our match against Standard Liege on Wednesday. I was always prepared for the match in Belgium because I had good feeling and I always remained positive about the outcome. Now we have a final result, I can now look forward to helping the team on Wednesday night.
“All I remember of the incident is that as soon as I had possession of the ball I headed towards goal at full speed. I was very close to the Celtic keeper and felt contact on my foot and then lost my balance. I know perhaps more than anyone else that when you have contact at speed it can be dangerous.
“I just want to say that I’m a fair player. To score goals you must take your opportunities and I’m not the type of player who needs to be dishonest to score goals.”
Now I just hope that a line can be well and truly drawn underneath it but with people like S*** C******** around you wouldn’t put any money on that happening
The reserves won last night, a 1-0 victory against Stoke at home, from a first team perspective the most interesting news was that Phillipe Senderos played the whole game and had a decent game. I suppose building up match fitness will be important to him as he hasn’t featured in any of our games so far. You would imagine that Senderos will partner Silvestre in the heart of our defence against West Brom in the Carling Cup.
According to reserve team boss Neil Banfield, he was instructed by Pat Rice to pull off Sanchez Watt and Mark Randall so they could well find themselves on the bench against Standard Liege on Wednesday night. Although an important game I am expecting Arsene to ring in the changes as some of our players are feeling the amount of games they have played in a short space of time.
Ramsey, Gibbs, Eboue and of course Eduardo will be knocking loudly on the door and I expect Arsene to open to most of them.
The Adebayor saga rumbles on with former favourite Kolo Toure jumping to the defence of current team mate Adebayor.
Toure said:
“I am astounded because he has received blows from all the Arsenal players. Even though he was the first to go and salute them in the tunnel, even those who had an affinity with him didn’t want to shake his hand. For me that is unacceptable.”
Did Kolo really say that? I haven’t heard the interview myself but words like ‘astounded’ and ‘affinity’ do not sound like a Kolo Toure interview and we as Arsenal fans have heard many of his interviews.
This was published in The Sun and the author was no other than Antony Kastrinakis who’s sole purpose in life is to write negative articles about Arsenal.
Interesting new move from the Premier League to introduce a home grown player rule plus a limit to squad size. Apparently clubs will need to have eight home grown players in a squad of 25, this does not affect Arsenal but you can bet your bottom dollar that many people would love it to mess up Wenger’s work. Liverpool apparently have the fewest home grown in their squads but you will struggle to hear it mentioned as a negative. So what’s new ey?
I now have to venture out in the pouring rain so will have to cut short today.
Back again tomorrow.
