The title race is on hold for a couple games as we face Burnley in the FA Cup and the Scum in the Carling Cup.
Going back to the title race briefly I just have to mention Liverpool and all those people at the start of the season who said that they would win the league and we won’t finish in the top 4. There is still a long way to go and who knows what will happen but it just annoyed me the way people wrote us off and could not see the bigger picture. Childish?? maybe? But need to get it off my chest.
At Rafa’s rotated players are fresh, fresh for a battle with Manchester City for 4th.
Barcelona are being linked with Alex Hleb. Apparently a source from within the club have said.
“Hleb is an interesting player who we have watched many times. But any new signings will be for the end of the season.”

We are richer than the both of you, we have a younger squad than the pair of you so get lost and start talking about Manchester United’s players. I’m sure Rooney or Ronaldo would add some strength to your squads.
Captain Willy has reiterated his managers words.
“I don’t really expect us to sign anyone. I think everything is fine,” the Arsenal captain declared.
“Perhaps if one player does leave then we have to buy, but if that is not the case then I think everything is okay as we are.”
slightly different to the quotes that came from him last season but hey, a season is a long time in football. I personally do not think we need any major signings, we have at least two good teams at the moment, and that is being proved in both the league and carling cup. Having too many players is not very healthy and when Toure, Eboue and Song come back in 6 weeks we will be left with players who are surplus to requirements. Djorou, Senderos, Gilberto, Hoyte and Sagna should be enough depth to get us by for less than two months.
Oh, I forgot to mention Kerrea Gilbert who has returned to Arsenal from his loan spell at Southend. So he is also an option but realistically he will not be called on for first team duties.
