How the players need to improve

I assume there will be a few alterations with that team, perhaps a new center half and I don’t think Gilberto will be in the starting 11 next season but it is hard to guess who will start alongside Cesc. I think Denilson will get the nod but we shall see

Morning all,

I was going to do another daily round up of news but I cannot be bothered to get out my broom and start sweeping up crumbs together to make a post.

I shall discard the broom and look for another angle for today’s waffle.

Our current squad has improved alot in the last two years and being at the age they are (in general) we are hopefully looking towards some more progress this time round.

I thought I would do a little summary of where certain players can improve and you could also give your own views in the comments.

Almunia – Coming out and claiming crosses

Sagna – Natural progression should be enough
Toure – Develop a better understanding with Gallas, keep tighter on opposition players in the box from set pieces
Gallas – Consistency, High balls
Clichy – Final ball needs work, Get to the byline a little more as Sagna does

Walcott – Improve all round game, Become a 90 minute man and not a cameo man
Fabregas – Difficult to do being his age but keep same level throughout season and regularly chip in with goals.
Gilberto – Stay fit, work hard during pre season and get back his old level
Rosicky – NO INJURIES (That is all I ask)

Van Persie – Take a look at your teammate Rosicky and take note.
Adebayor – Work on his all round game, link up play, finishing and continue attitude.

I assume there will be a few alterations with that team, perhaps a new center half and I don’t think Gilberto will be in the starting 11 next season but it is hard to guess who will start alongside Cesc. I think Denilson will get the nod but we shall see.

We didn’t really have many impact players last season apart from Theo Walcott and perhaps even Bendtner, so I am looking forward to Carlos Vela joining the squad. We have been short on goal scorers in patches of last season although we did finish up 2nd in the goal scoring charts. Vela can add depth to the wide and forward areas and provides pace something that aside from Adebayor and of course Walcott we lack.

I am looking forward to the end of the transfer window so we can properly evaluate our squad for next season.

Have a good day. Drop your view in the comments.

Until tomorrow.
