Kaka to Arsenal story, It is quite obvious that this is about to happen. Kaka said that he prefers Arsenal and Manchester United but the truth is, he didn’t mean to say Manchester United, someone made him say that
Well thank goodness for that, we have football again. I don’t think I like this one game a week lark, I think I honestly get withdrawal symptoms from Arsenal. I’m not sure if I should try and get help with that or not.
We all know what happened at the game at Ashburton Grove. I went along with the same attitude as the players I guess, I expected a victory. We had taken apart Blackburn at Ewood Park then Bolton the week before and the team were full of confidence, it turned out that it could have been too much confidence. I walked away from the ground furious.
This time round situations have changed and form is different for both teams. Arsenal are currently missing a host of top quality players and Hull City seem to have run out of steam.
Alex Song has been passed fit but I do not expect him to start the game as he hasn’t played in a few weeks. Arsene may have wanted to use him to protect his back four but that role will probably go to Denilson.
I wonder if Wenger is contemplating using Samir Nasri in a central role, I am not sure if he has enough wide players to try that, unless he uses Diaby on the left with Eboue on the right. If Wenger uses Nasri in central midfield then he will want his wide men to be able to track back and makes tackles. Vela cannot do this in the way that Arsene would want, so he won’t start out wide.
Wenger has come out publicly about the form of Adebayor which is unusual for him so hopefully Adebayor will take up the challenge and show the desire and form of last season.
Adebayor hasn’t scored for the last 3 matches so is due a goal and I think he will deliver today.
Hull City haven’t won a league game in 7 matches since the victory against Middlesbrough on the 6th December. It is a good time to play them but as we know, out of sorts sides seem to raise their game against us so we cannot take them for granted.
Mean Lean’s Predicted Line Up

Mean Lean’s Match Predictions
Hull City 1 Arsenal 3 (Adebayor 2, Eboue)
I expect Arsenal to go 8 games unbeaten after a weeks rest, we will have to match them physically and if we can do that I believe an inform Nasri and Van Persie will have enough to supply Adebayor.
Arshavin News
The daily Arshavin news continues, I think they should have a new dedicated channel for it, you could even have it to replace Talk Sport. So what is the latest?
The Zenit spokesman (Alexei Petrov), and believe you me, he does like to speak. Has said talks will continue next week, Arsenal officials have been invited to St Petersburg for a couples weekend with the Zenit hierarchy. They have been getting awfully close over the last few weeks. Ok, maybe I made the couples weekend up but they are allegedly flying over on Tuesday to sort this out once and for all.
Petrov said:
“Zenit have invited Arsenal officials to come to St Petersburg next Tuesday.
“Zenit does want to find an acceptable option for everyone.”
I did say yesterday that it would be sorted out on Tuesday, well that’s because Mean Lean (don’t you just love people who refer to themselves as the third person) has fantastic inside information on these kind of matters…. yeah, you’re right it was just a guess but shhhh, don’t tell anyone.
Other Transfer News
Well lets start off with the Kaka to Arsenal story, It is quite obvious that this is about to happen. Kaka said that he prefers Arsenal and Manchester United but the truth is, he didn’t mean to say Manchester United, someone made him say that.
“Arsenal and Manchester United are different from the other English teams.”
“They play a bit more and are more open. They are different from the typical English teams who have a tall striker and hold on to the ball. Manchester United and Arsenal are more agile. They let other teams play and they play too”,
Forget the fact that these are very probably old quotes from way before this whole Man City saga. One of Mean Lean’s close friends and media guru has told me that Arsenal are about to pull out the safe that is kept under Wenger’s desk and blow Manchester City out the water with a mega bid.
Serious stuff, watch this space.
I have more super transfer news but I am not allowed to say. If we sign someone I’ll just tell you that he was the person I was not allowed to say. Good thinking ey?
