I would rather lose and have a full squad

That is a team which is either injured, doubtful or missing for other reasons. Surely that is a stronger side than we can put out at present.

It is quite crazy how a couple of weeks can create such an horrendous injury list.

Walcott Diaby Flamini Rosicky
Van Persie Adebayor

Subs: Denilson, Song

That is a team which is either injured, doubtful or missing for other reasons. Surely that is a stronger side than we can put out at present. Gary Lewin is going to have to take some sort of performance enhancing drug or something so he can get this cleared up before our season collapses.

Arsene is obviously concerned about the current situation.

Wenger said: “It is a period when you don’t want to lose players because these are decisive months. If you lose players now they could be out for the rest of the season.

“We only have 14 outfield players available, but we will fight. The best way to prepare for Milan is to qualify tomorrow – not to draw. We’re on a run and we want to keep it going.

“We want to show we can do well at Manchester United because we are going back there in the league.”

I hope this is just a short term issue. Van Persie should be back soon, Rosicky has been close to coming back for weeks now and Flamini has a muscle problem so hopefully we are not in this mess for long.

I am looking forward to the match today but for once I do not have any nerves. That is why I think we will win the game. I can see us playing without any fear and without any pressure.

I think Man Utd will play a pretty strong side but they will have the pressure of their fans. Manchester United supporters are not used to picking up 1 point from 2 league matches. A good start from Arsenal may start groans around the crowd.

To be honest, I would rather we lost this match and regained a fully fit squad than win and have the same problems. Having said that, doing both would be quite nice.

Good luck Gunners, no more bloody injuries though please!

Until tomorrow.
