Have you been reading the press? Our club is about to collapse! Walcott is off for £400,000, Wenger is off to Madrid because the board will not give him any money and he is furious.

Bit silly isn’t it? It is all a load of complete and utter rubbish. I just wonder how many angles they can cover to put a downer on our club.

Anyway, what matters is what is happening at the club.

Now that Ivan Gazidis is working at the club, any contract problems will certainly be sorted out, the club would not allow someone like Walcott to walk away from the club and I am sure that deal will be sorted out in the next few weeks or so.

The Arshavin story is still doing the rounds. Arsene Wenger admitted that signing a player who is cup tied for the Champions League will not influence his decision has inflated the story.

Wenger said:

“I would like to think longer term,” said the Frenchman. “If the right player comes in, even if he is not available for the Champions League, his class is more important for me.”

I could be wrong as Wenger hasn’t denied anything yet.

One player that will not be joining is Gokhan Inler.

He had the chance to join us in the summer and decided against it, he has recently come out and said that he is not interested in Arsenal, just playing for his club.

Arsene Wenger said that he was interested in signing the 24 year old in the summer but not anymore. I think I read previously that Wenger only signs players who want to play for the club, once he turned us down, then the book would have been closed on him.
