Is Jens coming or going? / Eduardo’s Goals

Rumours are going around the newspapers that the German club are not willing to match Jens’ pay demands

Will he stay or will he go? That seems to be the main Arsenal topic right now. Jens Lehmann could be set to join German side Borussia Dortmund but Arsene has been saying that he is in line to play against Burnley on the weekend. Rumours are going around the newspapers that the German club are not willing to match Jens’ pay demands.

My guess is that Jens is off, if not to Dortmund but to somewhere else and I think rightly so for both parties (Lehmann and Arsenal)

That would mean a certain dip into the transfer market to find a position replacement, which order in the pecking order is not so certain.

Eduardo will get another chance to show his goalscoring abilities on Sunday, I am truly excited about having a player like him amongst our ranks. We have all known what Eduardo is about and have seen this for his country and former club but until now he hasn’t been able to convert that form to his new club. I cannot wait until Cesc, Hleb and Rosicky are all playing at their creative best, the type of form when we create 15-20 goal scoring chances per game. Eduardo will be in footballing heaven and we will hit teams for 6 with regular Eduardo hat tricks being scored. I still think our team are a little way off our best form so we may have to wait for that to happen.

It is nice to know that we still have Van Persie to come back, Eduardo to improve, The best of Walcott to come along as well. All this and we are sitting top of the league after new year. It is going to be one hell of a fight with United and Chelsea to the end.

Apparently Arsenal have rejected a bid from Tottenham for unsettled midfielder Lassana Diarra. The fee is believed to be around the £4 million mark. To be honest I do not care how much the fee is, we should not sell to Tottenham. Diarra will become one of the best in Europe in his position and the last thing we need is Tottenham to have him.

I hope Wenger digs his heals in and makes him honour his contract, especially as the futures of Flamini and Gilberto are uncertain.

Right, I am off to do stuff that doesn’t include me doing this stuff. Back tomorrow.
