spank Manchester United in the Semis and vomit on Barcelona in the final
Howdy,
Most of the news today is more post Reading stuff really.
Reading striker Dave Kitson (Spurs fan no less) has been creaming his pants over our performance at the Madejski.
“Trying to get near Fabregas, Hleb, Rosicky, it’s a tough task. The thing that amazes you most is they are not just passing to each other – they are passing so that person can run on to the ball and then his mind is already made up with what he is going to do next. It’s just magic”
Imagine if we played at our best! He would have probably just fainted on the pitch. It is nice to hear those kind of compliments though. I bet it got right up Fergie’s nose.
According to the Daily Telegraph, David Beckham is set to join Arsenal…. to train. I should write for a tabloid paper shouldn’t I?
He isn’t allowed to join an English club on loan but he is allowed to keep fit, so what better place to come but the greatest side in England. I hope he teaches our squad to take corners properly. Maybe we can master the art of actually getting the ball into the penalty area and not just the near post. What’s with that? I have always thought that, why on earth do we keep doing that? Surely it is intentionally. Maybe Arsene has some stats somewhere on his desk that says that players score more goals from the near post or something. I’m sure that stat is no longer valid now though, we have messed it up. What ever happened to the good old fashioned, swing it into the middle of the penalty area and someone comes flying in with a powerful header past the keeper, Tony Adams styley. Or even the good ol Steve Bould flick on, head height though, not just at the first defenders foot.
Anyway I’m sure Beckham will be impressed by what he sees.
Alex Ferguson thinks that they are psychologically winning the battle with Arsenal because we were happy that we equalised in injury time.
“Their dressing room was elated,” said Fergie. “They were celebrating as if they’d won the World Cup, which I found very interesting.
“Our players took something out of that, psychologically, and I think we’re a better team than Arsenal now. They’re a young team and they’re going to be a very good team.
I know these are old quotes now but the Mirror have decided to publish them now. I would like to say that I think we have the psychological edge at the moment. Manchester United and Ferguson can’t stop talking about us, every other word is Arsenal so that should tell you something. They are scared, they are worried. They know they have a major force on their hands. We haven’t said Jack about them this season and I would think that is intentional by Arsene. He is probably telling the boys to focus on their game and don’t worry about anyone else. And by gee is that working so far.
Speaking of being scared and talking about us. AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti does not think that Arsenal have the experience to win the Champions League
“It’s necessary to know how to handle the pressure and tension in the best way. I don’t know if they are trained for this.”
He really should just shut his mouth and keep his own house in order. Milan have been incredibly inconsistent this season and his side are full of old slow past it players, ok minus Kaka. We would piss all over them in the same way we did to Juventus. I hope we beat them in quarter finals, spank Manchester United in the Semis and vomit on Barcelona in the final by 3-0 having 77% possession. Then Henry, Ronaldiniho beg to join us and we turn them down, but Arsene finds a loophole in Messi’s contract that states that if a French manager who manages a team that sounds like his name then he can join for £15.22p
Right enough waffle for one morning. I must grab some breaky
