Manchester City have not managed to do the double over Manchester United since 1970 and not many people would have backed them to do the same this year.

All eyes were on Manchester United who would have been keen to put on a good performance considering the occasion. Manchester United were lethargic and uninspiring against Tottenham last week and it was pretty much the same again.

Richards and Dunne who were pulled to pieces last week against Adebayor were in fantastic form and shut the door many times on Manchester United. Cristiano Ronaldo has looked a shadow of his usual self in the last two matches. Without Rooney (Injured) and Ronaldo (out of sorts) Manchester United are a completely different side.

Sven has taken six points out of two matches against United but none against Arsenal.

Benjani would have started against Arsenal for his debut had the transfer went ahead as it was supposed to but the delay in paper work meant that his debut would be in the Manchester derby. Benjani has scored against Manchester United for Portsmouth already this season and he repeated the trick with a glancing header.

City defended in numbers but the difference between them and most teams who go to Old Trafford was the amount of players they used in the counter attack. On more than one occasion Manchester City had more forward players than Manchester United had in defenders.

It is 1 point in 6 for United and they will have to fix their problems before it is to late. Arsenal will need to click into the Arsenal rhythm as soon as possible against Blackburn. International breaks always affect us but having a break without playing also affects us so I think it will be a close game.
