Many Arsenal transfer questions to be answered

I think Arsene giving Denilson, Ramsay, Landsbury and Traore a chance with the first teamers in the first half against Barnet may give a slight indication as to who he sees closer to the first team squad. Mark Randall could have played wide right but Landsbury was the managers choice

We look forward to playing another friendly this afternoon but I feel there is a little cloud over our head, we as supporters do not quite know what the weather will be like when the cloud disappears in August. By this I am talking about our squad, it has been taking shape since the end of last season with Flamini, Lehmann, Hleb and then Gilberto leaving and then Ramsay, Nasri and Vela starting their Arsenal careers. The first obvious observation is that the average age of the squad has now dropped even lower than last season which mean the squad will be lacking even more experience but the flip side of that is that more youth players appear closer to the first team than last season.

I think Arsene giving Denilson, Ramsay, Landsbury and Traore a chance with the first teamers in the first half against Barnet may give a slight indication as to who he sees closer to the first team squad. Mark Randall could have played wide right but Landsbury was the managers choice. Aaron Ramsay who has just come to the club had the chance to play with Sagna, Clichy, Walcott and Bendtner. I have no doubt that had the talented Wilshere been 2 years older then he would have started in that first half instead of the second period.

Not all is sorted ahead of the new campaign, it seems quite clear that the whole Adebayor situation has not quite been resolved and it will not be unless either he leaves the club or he signs a new contract.

Arsene said after the Barnet match that he is in the market for 1 certainly and maximum 2 players before the West Brom game. Is that ‘certain’ player Bischoff? Is the second player related to the future of Adebayor? Or it he just a player that it being pursued by more clubs than Arsenal?

There are many questions and we will not get any answers until these things are sorted out.

In a way I am more interested to see which position we do not get cover for as opposed to which position he brings in. That will tell us what Arsene truly thinks of Song, Nordviett or Denilson, Diaby.

I am confident in the squad, and looking forward to the new season regardless on whatever takes place in the transfer market.

Have a good day. Drop your view in the comments.

Until tomorrow.
