“Although he is with another club, I have always praised Messi,” Mean Lean told Arsenal website Arsenal Vision.

“He was born in Argentina and would be ok leaving Spain as it is not his place of birth.

“But I feel he has this club at his heart and understands the type of passing football we like to play. Messi knows that Barcelona could never have a manager with the same quality as Arsene Wenger, so if he wants to be the best he can he needs to join Arsenal and work under the very best.

“The technical staff will decide on any movement for him, but there is no doubt he would be a big player for us.”

Being the well run club that we are and the massive reputation to keep, you cannot imagine that someone like Ivan Gazidis coming out and saying that but I tell you what, I would luv it! I am well and truly fed up of the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid talking to the players via the press.

You know exactly what kind of summer we will have now, especially with the overall disappointment of our league campaign. Lets win the Champions League and put the brakes on to these stories. I actually believed that it would stop them for a second.

Back to some good news, Cesc Fabregas is back in training and should be back between 2-4 weeks.

Speaking of which, I laughed my head of yesterday. I read the Fabregas back in training – Picture special from Arsenal.com and I clicked on the article to see pictures of Cesc jogging and kicking the ball (not sure why we actually need to see pictures, if they say he is, I would believe them) the funny thing was he was training alongside Silvestre, not a mention of the poor lad. He has been out almost as long as Cesc. I have almost forgotten that he is an Arsenal player. ok, maybe you would have needed to have been there but I found it pretty funny.

Looking forward to the game tomorrow, its gonna be hard to do a predicted line up as Wenger will be chopping and changing with Roma in mind.

Short and probably not very sweet post today, it is family day and I am struggling to take this thumb off my forehead so I am off but before I do.
