Having a day off from writing this always feels a little weird the next day, its funny how it becomes a part of your everyday life.

Firstly, I would like to start talking about how the MyVision section was left on Saturday. Basically I created a stop motion animation a little while back and I watched again for the first time in quite a while. Being the oh so sharing person that I am, I decided to share it with you lot. What I expected to hear back from people was either it was funny or it is shit, which is fair enough. What I did not expect was talk of racism.

Let me clear this up once and for all because racism is something that I cannot stand and it is not a discussion on this site as this is an Arsenal blog and nothing else.

1) Those dolls used were from my daughters play house, I used them because they are easier to move and there was more than one of them.

2) The story is purely about a nagging wife which the husband finally has enough. Nothing to do with race.

3) I am a BLACK male born in North London with Caribbean roots, so how I am being called racist against black people is beyond insane. I want this to be final, as I said this is not the place to discuss race, creed, sexism etc etc.

What are you hear again for? Arsenal.. that’s it. What has been happening at the great North London club? Erm, nothing much really. Fran Merida’s loan period at Spanish club Real Sociedad has come to an end. He couldn’t quite help the team win promotion with is a crying shame. Well, not really a crying shame, I couldn’t care less to be honest.

It is going to be very hard for a central midfielder to make the grade at Arsenal, they are in for massive competition. Especially as a lot of them are in the same age range. The likes of Denilson, Diaby, Merida, Ramsey, Gilberto, Landsbury, Randall (who can also play wide), oh and this little guy called Cesc are all slugging it out for two spots.

The new rule of having 7 substitutes will come in handy for the fringe and young players, it certainly makes juggling a squad much easier for the boss. Even 7 subs, is hard to choose. I wrote down a team with 7 subs when everyone is fit a few weeks ago on an old myvision and I still had to leave some really quality out the side.

So much so, that if I had to choose between new signings or guaranteed fully fit squad for 99% of the season then I would quite easily go with the latter. I know, I know, you don’t agree.. well its my opinion. Oh and plus I am correct *wink smile and pointing finger at you in a very American way*

Carlos Vela banged in another goal for Mexico against Belize. How did he score it? I don’t know, I am on the train writing this and I do not have any Internet connection. By the time I do have to put this up, I would have forgotten to check. I know me, so well.

I watched Sky Sports News last night and saw David Bentley with an undone white shirt with a glass of champagne in his hand with his hair spiked up talking about how he wants to leave Blackburn and join a big club. Then he said something like Blackburn will try and hold onto their ‘best’ players but he has made his mind up he wants to play Champions League football. What an utter *beep* you can insert whatever the hell you like into that beep. I am so glad we do not have anyone like that at the club. Not the wanting away part but the utter utter *insert word*

So what about the fixtures? Another decent run of fixtures at the start which I think is a good thing for us, we managed to get a good run at the start which built up our confidence but it does get tricky as the months go on.

Right listen up, this is important. Before I go and get on with my day I want to tell you about something that a reader (sameagaindave) brought to my attention a few weeks ago.

And now I want to do good to the world of Gooners. As you know, there are loads of crap Arsenal sites out there who serve no purpose apart from trying to make money from people like us. They will create a stupidly exaggerated headline that will attempt to get you to click on their site. The story will either be made up bullshit or some made up bullshit from a tabloid.

The trouble is these sites will continue to keep putting articles up if us (Gooners) keep clicking on their links.

Rocky from the Arseblog forum has created a fantastic filter version of Newsnow which removes most of the crap that comes through. This can be turned on and off so if you are desperate need to read some made up crap then the option is still there. He has kindly let me host it so all you have to do is replace the old News Now from your bookmark and save this one in its place News Now Filtered
