Post Chelsea Talk / Diarra Shame

I have been used to watching 4-5-1 / 4-4-1-1 for so long now that I almost forgot what it was like with two strikers in the side.

Good morning to you’all,

Did you enjoy grand slam Sunday? It ended rather sweetly I thought. I sat with a mate in a posh Clapham Junction pub that played stupid music during build up which pissed me right off but it was the only place that we could get a seat, albeit a rock hard stool that wasn’t very kind on the arse after two matches.

I was disappointed to see Manchester United beat Liverpool at Anfield after not creating hardly any chances and playing quite defensively but when we go to Anfield and dominate we end up with a draw. Ok, I know it is silly to think like that because all games are different but it was interesting to see Liverpool take the game to Manchester United and compete with them on a football level but against us it is a case of stopping us playing.

I was a bag of nerves before the kick off at The Emirates and was pleased and disappointed at the same time when I saw the line up. Hleb is playing! ‘whayy!!’ Van Persie is on the bench! ‘bitch!’ was pretty much what I said when I saw the team line up on the screen before the match.

We started the game rather well and got back to our passing game but alot of it seems to be infront of the opposition. In the matches against the other big teams we haven’t created a whole load of chances have we? It was different in the second half because Chelsea took risks that they would not have done if the score was level.
Ashley Cole reminded everyone how much we really do hate him and Cesc showed us why we love him so much. I enjoyed that last challenge from Cesc on Cole in the dying minutes, Cesc actually plays like a fan.

I could not believe that we didn’t score more than the one goal, watching it back on match of the day 2 it was madness. Sometimes it was 4 or 5 against 2 and we still could not put it in the net. I’ll tell you what though, our attack looks alot better and dangerous when Van Persie is in the side, I have been used to watching 4-5-1 / 4-4-1-1 for so long now that I almost forgot what it was like with two strikers in the side. When our midfield have the ball all of a sudden we have twice as many options (I’m clever is me) Adebayor drifts out wide and we still look like a threat from central areas. I am looking forward to watching that side minus Eboue and plus Van Persie fully fit and sharp we will cause many teams alot of problems.

So the top two remain the same but it certainly isn’t a two horse race as yet, there are many many points to be won and lost from now until the end of the season. I am certainally not looking forward to a trip to Everton who are in my eyes the best side outside the top 4 and are in very good form. We will have to be at our very best to get something there.

The news about Diarra wanting out came to me after I posted yesterdays MyVision and needless to say I am very disappointed in the guy. He hasn’t been here 5 minutes and he wants to leave. Its annoying because I know he would have been a very important part of our squad and even team given time but if that is his attitude then off you trot mate. It is a shame but when you have players with the fight and spirit of Flamchicken then you know who you want around you

ok, that is it for now. More again tomorrow.
