Post Spurs Talk / Injuries / Henry misses us

We are going to have to play alot better than that at Shite Hart Lane if we are to get to the final

Well that was bloody great wasn’t it?

I think that has to be our worst performance since that wonderful night in Sheffield last season. Am I over exaggerating? I don’t know but I was actually thinking just before we scored that I wanted to go home and that the game ended.

Call it tiredness, call it ‘lacked a little bit sharpness’ it was a terrible performance from the 25 minute onwards.

I hate to say it but Berbatov was sheer class last night, it reminded me of Dennis Bergkamp when he was on song. Our young defence just could not handle the Bulgarian and Keane.

I think he should leave Spurs and go somewhere else because they do not deserve someone like him.

We are going to have to play alot better than that at Shite Hart Lane if we are to get to the final. I hope Arsene puts a stronger bench over there but I have a feeling that he has already made up his mind that he wants this competition for the younger less experienced players.

The worst of all is that we now have a whole host of injuries to deal with. Van Persie (what a bloody surprise), Walcott, Djourou and Senderos are all out. We do not know the full extent of all the injuries but we do know that Senderos has suffered medial knee ligaments. Djourou has a groin problem, Van Persie has the same knee problems and Theo bruck up his ankle late on in the game.

The major problems for us are now in the middle of defence. Gallas is the only fit and available defender for us at the moment which is a little bit scary. Maybe Arsene will be forced to go into the transfer market as we cannot cope without Toure, Senderos, Song and Djourou.

Gilberto may have to be drafted back into defence to partner Gallas but if anything happens to either of them then we will be in trouble.

Last night I browsed around the Internet and read the ‘Henry wants Arsenal return’ stories. I couldn’t help have a little bit of ‘piss off, you were so desperate to leave and blame everything else’ type feeling. But after reminiscing about some of his goals I thought of him coming back as a goalscoring coach or something might be nice… but hey! Who needs a goalscoring coach with DUDU, DUDU, DUDU! Not quite sure what song that is but anyway.

I think it is clear that he is not totally happy at Barcelona, he won’t admit this though, but you can tell from his comments and famous body language.

He said: “It does not matter what will happen with my new team, I’ll never find the affection I was shown at Arsenal.

“In part, that’s because I don’t think my legs will let me play for another club for eight years. You always return to the place you belong to and so I hope one day to be able to work with that club. I have this club in my blood.”

Don’t worry about your legs mate, its your back you should be concerned about.

There is a few more things going on today but I am out of time so I will have to cut this short today. Some more YourVision articles will be up during the day. don’t forget that you can submit your own stuff there and receive feedback from fellow Gooners. Enjoy your day.
