The left attacker is the only position in which I have to guess Arsene’s selection. Against Everton at Goodison park, Arsene chose Aaron Ramsey to add that extra bite, that extra body in the middle of the pitch to win the midfield battle. Against Aston Villa at home, Arsene played two natural wide attackers as I am sure he was confident enough of dominating the ball. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is another option but I am guessing that it will be between the former options. Gervinho put in a superb defensive performance against Aston Villa

Arsene Wenger has been oiling the Arsenal bolts, washing the bodywork and fine tuning the Arsenal engine ahead of today’s battle for three very important points at Queens Park Rangers this afternoon. It is rare that Arsene gets the chance to look around the training ground and have so many faces staring back at him, such is the emptiness of the treatment room right now.
Laurent Koscielny has escaped the temporary clutches of tendonitis and should displace Johan Djourou who had a decent game against Aston Villa if not troubled very much.
The Koscielny and Vermaelen partnership has been a superb platform for Arsenal to have built this winning run on. Both aggressive in their defensive approach yet both elegant when the ball is at their feet.
The team all but picks itself right now especially as luckily for Joey Barton, Abou Diaby is not yet ready to join the first team squad after injury. I suspect that Arsene only has one decision to make, or in fact only had one to make as I am sure his mind has already been made up.

Gervinho put in a superb defensive performance against Aston Villa and he is slowly starting to regain his early season form so it is that reason that I will side towards the Ivorian flyer because of his improved performance, especially defensively.
Mean Lean’s Predicted Line Up

Queens Park Rangers are currently 3rd from bottom and have only won one of their last five home games which was a 3-2 victory against midtable Liverpool after coming back from 2-0 down. Wolves and Fulham have beaten them at Loftus Road during that time while they have lost to Sunderland, Bolton and Blackburn in their last three away games.
Clearly life isn’t quite as rosy for the West Londoners as it is for Arsenal right now but as we know complacency is a very good at bridging large gaps. Judging by the work of the players in recent weeks, I do not see the C word being much of an issue these days. I enjoyed the way Arsene put it in yesterday’s press conference.
Wenger said:
“I see us fighting like mad on Saturday to win the game. That’s all I see, I don’t see further.”
Well said Arsene, you cannot say fairer than that. Let us hope that all the players feel exactly the same way and start the game the way we started at Everton recently. Joey Barton was dropped for their recent game but I wonder if Mark Hughes will bring him back for this one. Hughes has always instructed his players to rough us up and you would imagine that will be the way that QPR approach the game tomorrow.
Djibril Cisse is suspended for the game tomorrow after his red card at Sunderland, that is quite handy really because his pace may have troubled Vermielny or Kosmaelen but without him in the team, perhaps we will be able to push them a little further back into their own half of the pitch and rely on our ball retention. With the likely threat of Walcott and perhaps Gervinho then they may well be forced further back anyway.
I am interested to see how QPR’s Taye Taiwo deals with Theo Walcott. Taiwo was a player that many Arsenal supporters hoped Wenger would bring in as emergency cover when we had no available full backs. Theo Walcott is in good form and should be confident after his wonderful goal last weekend.
Robin van Persie who is currently going through a crisis, a couple of games without a goal has got to be a crisis right? We lost our last two games because if van Persie doesn’t score then Arsenal cannot.
Oh.
I hope he gets on the scoresheet today, or in fact he might as well save them for when the team are not scoring. Our captain is very considerate isn’t he?
I shall end with the usual. If we work hard to win the ball back and play our high tempo football then we can beat our opponents. Let us also hope that Swansea can do exactly the same at White Hart Lane on Sunday but most importantly let us do what we need to do to win our own game.
