He has started his Arsenal career in the right way, rejecting Tottenham is always a positive start. Like I have said a thousand times I am looking forward to how he lines up with the rest of the team
I am looking forward to the game tonight, it is all or nothing from both teams. Both sides are searching for the holy grail that is the Champions League. Many Gooners have various views on which team they would rather end the season in fourth (yes fourth! third is already occupied)
After much ummimg and arring I think I will be supporting our neighbours in the battle for the final Champions League spot. Yes we all know plenty of annoying deluded Spurs supporters which will then give them even more reason to increase their delusion. We have all heard the ‘better man for man’ comparisons and that would no doubt continue but Manchester City are now going to be our future competition. With the financial backing they have behind them a Champions League place would open the floodgates for them to turn into the new Chelsea but with even more financial power.
I am assuming that Manchester City will get to that position eventually, they can buy pretty much whoever they want and can make as many mistakes along the way as they like without it affecting the club. So holding off City as long as possible would be a benefit to our club and our club is what matters.
I think Manchester City will actually have too much for Tottenham at home but it should be interesting.
I have an excusive for you here at Arsenal Vision. Marouane Chamakh has pretty much confirmed that he will be joining Arsenal for next season. Of course I say exclusive with my tongue firmly in my cheek. It has become the worst kept secret in recent months.
Chamakh said:
“I am delighted to join the English football atmosphere, it is something amazing, I love Arsenal’s game. I know I will have to adapt but I know the short passing game with (Bordeaux midfielder) Yoann Gourcuff.
“In February, I made my decision. A departure clause (in a potential new Bordeaux contract) was not logical after refusing Arsenal last summer. Arsenal were not alone. There were Liverpool, Tottenham and crazy offers from Russia.
“But I was only focused on the Premier League.”
He has started his Arsenal career in the right way, rejecting Tottenham is always a positive start. Like I have said a thousand times I am looking forward to how he lines up with the rest of the team, especially Van Persie. I am going to assume that Chamakh will start his Arsenal career on the bench if everyone is fully fit.
He could make cameos until he is used to life in English football. Pre season should be fairly interesting. It is amazing that we spent so long without a leading forward available to us when next season we could have a choice of three or four strikers for one position.
Back again tomorrow.
